True, but it's already served its purpose, at least in Syria. The US, the UK and France got the pretext they needed to militarily invade and bomb Syria, and they're trying now to divide it by force. They're doing it themselves, after "ISIS"/Daesh failed.

Look at the progression. In the 1970s it was terrorist groups calling themselves names with "liberation" in them. Then in the 1980s the names had "Palestinian" in them. Then in the 1990s it was "Al-Qaeda". Then in the 2000s there was a proliferation of shadowy terrorist groups with "Islamic" this or that in their names. This has greatly accelerated to the point where they are splintering, dissolving and re-forming under new names too fast for anyone to keep up. Even the experts can't sort them out or distinguish between most of them. I think this process will continue, with some of the more glaring gaps in the story filled by "lone wolf" explanations.

Hopefully peaceful/constructive amorphous groups/lone wolves will proliferate as well in unfathomable ways ; D

And youth get disenchanted with dying a glorious death, and take more patient, stubborn routes to achieving results

"Lone wolves" only get themselves killed, and get incorporated into the narrative. And a lot of those youths have no idea what they're being sucked into, or used for. Some may even believe that they're 'cooperating with the authorities', on some sort of mission for the police.

No, the only real hope is for brave, conscientious and aware individuals who somehow made it high up in their country's military or intelligence services to plan very carefully, and to act collectively, as a team, to save their country (and humanity, while they're at it).

When ISIS Sinai down a Russian passenger jet over in Egypt early last month it became abundantly clear that Russian civilians are now squarely in Islamic State's crosshairs following Moscow's intervention in Syria and aggressive aerial campaign to wipe out anti-Assad elements operating in the country.

Subsequent ISIS videos contained a series of threats promising attacks on Russian targets and late last week, footage surfaced of a Russian hostage being beheaded by an Islamic State operative.

In what may (or may not) prove to be the first attack on Russian soil by "the terrorists" (as Sergei Lavrov refers to ISIS), moments ago Russian media reported an explosion at a bus stop in Moscow. The cause: an IED.

According to RIA Novosti, the bomb was "thrown" at a group of civilians. “Two women were taken to hospital with shrapnel wounds while the third victim suffered minor cuts and was given medical assistance on the spot,” TASS says.

'World's biggest' drug kingpin El Chapo declares war on ISIS with chilling threat

16:53, 10 DEC 2015 UPDATED 21:59, 10 DEC 2015 BY GEMMA MULLIN

An alleged encrypted email from Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán to ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi has been leaked online

One of the world's most wanted drug lords has reportedly 'declared war' on the Islamic State in a threatening letter.

Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán apparently sent an encrypted email to the ISIS leader Abu Bakr Al Baghdadi after one of his cartel's shipments was destroyed.

His letter, which has been leaked by cartelblog.com, claims his men will "destroy" the terror group if they continue to 'impact on their operation'.

The Mexican drug baron, who runs the notorious Sinaloa cartel, allegedly told Al Baghdadi that his organisation are 'not soldiers' but 'lowly p*****s'.

He apparently wrote: "Your god cannot save you from the true terror that my men will levy at you if you continue to impact my operation.

"My men will destroy you. The world is not yours to dictate. I pity the next son of a wh*** that tries to interfere with the business of the Sinaloa Cartel.

"I will have their heart and tongue torn from them.

ISIS can print authentic Syrian passports, may infiltrate US
Published time: 11 Dec, 2015 08:40

Islamic State has at least one specialized printing machine used to print authentic Syrian passports and plenty of blanks, US law enforcement agencies warned. Fraudulent passports would help terrorist infiltrators pose as refugees from Syria.

The concern that Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) can print authentic-looking passports was made public by FBI Director James Comey, who testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Wednesday.

“The intelligence community is concerned that they [IS] have the ability, the capability to manufacture fraudulent passports, which is a concern in any setting,” Comey told the legislators.

The threat was highlighted last week in a 17-page security bulletin sent by the Homeland Security Investigations (HIS) to law enforcement, which said IS procured at least one passport printing machine during a raid on the city of Deir ez-Zour last summer, reported ABC News, which obtained the document.

“Since more than 17 months [have] passed since Raqqa and Deir ez-Zour fell to ISIS, it is possible that individuals from Syria with passports ‘issued’ in these ISIS controlled cities or who had passport blanks, may have traveled to the US,” the report warned.

In his testimony Comey said the FBI didn’t “have reason to believe” IS infiltrators were already on US soil, adding the bureau was constantly on the lookout for such agents.

The report mentions an example, in which a Syrian passport discovered in Turkey was printed with a designator number indicating it had been printed in an IS-controlled territory this year.

Fraudulent Syrian passports were used by two suicide bombers involved in the Paris attacks last month. They are believed to have traveled to Europe among the refugees and migrants from Syria, of whom hundreds of thousands have flooded into the continent this year.

Previously, European media covering the refugee crisis reported that obtaining a passport illegally in Syria is very easy. Dutch journalist Harald Doornbos showed in September how he bought a passport with the photo of Prime Minister Mark Rutten. It cost him $825 and took just 40 hours to complete the exchange, he said.

The HIS report said “boxes of blank passports” were captured during the Deir ez-Zour raid.

“If ISIS ability to produce passports is not controlled, their operations will continue to increase and expand outside of their operational controlled areas,” the report said.

Untraceable cell phones are for bad people. Those people are up to no good and steal propane tanks to do bad stuff with, like blow up something... :sarcasm

Theft of dozens of propane tanks, purchase of 150 prepaid cell phones in Missouri puts FBI on alert

Image

The FBI has launched an investigation after 150 prepaid mobile phones were bought from local Walmarts in Missouri. This comes after the theft of dozens of propane tanks in the area.

The large number of purchases took place at six Missouri Walmarts at least, authorities say, according to KRCG13.

A large portion of the phones were bought by “three men with accents” at one Walmart near the town of Lebanon, Jefferson City police said. The purchases were made very late, at 3:50am local time on Saturday, authorities said for 59 of the phones. Although the three men were questioned by authorities, nothing further could be done, as there were no grounds for detention.

It was then that the FBI was notified by the Laclede County Sheriff.

The second instance of large purchases was registered on Monday by police in Columbia, two hours north of Lebanon. Five or more men were behind that purchase, which occurred last Friday at 9:30pm.

The same issue is being investigated by Macon Police, where a purchase happened on Saturday, as well as Jackson Police, who are investigating the purchase of 48 prepaid phones on Friday, and Cape Girardieu, where 10 cell phones were purchased, according to KFVS.

The FBI is not ruling anything out, and has asked Missouri residents to notify authorities if they witness anything out of place.

Further to the mobile phone scare, agents are now drawing a connection to the disappearance of dozens of tanks of highly flammable propane gas around locations in Missouri. This elevates the possible connection to a potential terrorist plot, as the local mood seems to indicate.

The tanks were stolen from several locations in Independence and Lee’s Summit, according to Fox 4.

The first theft was reported at the end of November by a BP gas station in Lee’s Summit. At least 18 propane tanks were stolen from the cages situated outside. Later that night, another gas station in the area reported the same story. Two weeks after that, 28 tanks were stolen from a gas station in Independence.

Although an investigation is underway, not everyone is eager to connect the propane tanks with the mobile phones. Retired FBI agent Michael Tabman is stopping short of suspecting a terror plot: “Certainly, [when] we hear something about gas being stolen, we worry about a potential bomb. The good news is this is probably not part of terrorist planning for a number of reasons,” he told Fox 4.
