Here's my recipe for a very nice Peanut Butter and Sauerkraut sandwich

a couple of tablespoons or more of Peanut Butter
a couple of big ass forkfuls of Kraut
mix loosely in a bowl
smear between sliced bread
pop open an ice cold Willer
kick back
it's all good

I'd never seen the word "ocarina" before, then met it twice today, in this post and on the front page of Wikipedia, where today's feature article is about "The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a 1998 action-adventure video game developed by Nintendo's Entertainment Analysis and Development division for the Nintendo 64 video game console."

This is an ocarina, please appreciate the Pétomane's talent:

Psst: for the closest, smoothest shave, the most expensive shaving cream is not nearly as good as a dime-sized dollop of the cheapest hair conditioner. Try it. You'll thank me.

In other news: Police are searching for a man seen flashing two little old ladies sitting on a downtown park bench. One of them had a stroke...the other, being older and more feeble, couldn't reach that far.

Penguin, you need to get out more, or maybe pick up a copy of Cosmo -- even women without beards (like me) can find all kinds of things to shave.

Moreover, I did manage to convince my five-o'clock-shadowed brother-in-law to try it on his face. He came out all shiny and smooth as a baby's bottom. No irritation, either.

Ok, it freaked him out and he said he wouldn't do it again, but that was, like, a stupid male thing. I was counting on guys here to be more open-minded.

I wrote down the recipes-my late night cakes should have been called
flop-jacks and my sopapillas would be suckapillas-sorry a lame attempt at humor from a former commie-back to Marx-not the funny ones. :happybanana:

Cabbage Gratin with Cheese, Bacon and Potato

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes

Serves: 4

Ingredients

1 ½ lb savoy cabbage or cavalo nero (black kale)
4 medium potatoes
3 tbsp olive oil
150g (6 oz) diced bacon (preferably back)
1 onion, finely sliced
2 cloves garlic, finely sliced
1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
¼ tsp chilli flakes
50g (2 oz) freshly grated parmesan
200g (½ lb) cheese; taleggio is recommended but Gruyere, Gouda, Edam or even Cheddar could be used

Instructions

1. Peel and cut potatoes into chunks about 2cm thick and boil for about 5 minutes until just starting to soften. Drain.

2. Meanwhile fry the bacon until well coloured then lower the heat and stir in the onion, garlic and chilli. Fry gently until soft.

3. Cut the cabbage into coarse chunks. Wash and add a third at a time to the onions and bacon. As the cabbage wilts add the more until it is all incorporated. Mix with the potatoes and half the parmesan.

4. Butter a baking dish and add half the cabbage and potato mixture. Dot with half the cheese then cover with the remaining mixture and top with the remaining cheese and parmesan. Cook in a preheated (200C) oven for about 30 minutes.
