In an effort to stick with what THIS thread is about; Hugh, do you consider that, Master Joe, is able to heat water as shown in this video, or do you consider that the video is a meaningless fraud?

Hugh, start a new thread if you want to go further with this.

Agreed. I'll post in there if you do.

And Hugh, you never answered about what you think about my website and teapot synchronicity story - CIA disinfo or not? I'm genuinely curious.

I think determining what is coincidence and what isn't and what significance to ascribe things is very relevant to this thread. And I responded to Zap's current remarks about our previous debate on this very subject.

Jung had limited knowledge and wrote about what he knew at the time.

But perception, cognition, and memory are now exploited elite sciences used by industry and government specialists designing and enforcing a mainstream culture meant to be experienced unquestioiningly as 'Fate, Nature, God's Way, How Things Really are, etc. And this is a huge scam not well understood.

In his first posts Zap shrugged off trying to determine what is authentic and what is managed and encouraged us to just 'surf,' go with the flow, even give up figuring out 9/11.

Synchromysticism,' and all the other mysticisms, is promoted as cover for their efforts at subliminal priming, a form of covert advertising.

Look into "source amnesia" for another neurological angle on 'coincidence.'
Our brains don't remember where we first sensed something even though the impression stays with us.

Of course there are real coincidences and these are often exploited as windfalls to those who specialize in cloaking their work.
Like network spook Grant Tinker being married to a look-alike for a dangerous JFK witness and Mary Tyler Moore's name even being almost the same as that witness, Mary Moorman. This was a remarkable coincidence then well-exploited by spooks who usually have to hide behind fake coincidences.

So don't mistake my certainty about many covert non-coincidences for denial of real coincidences. I know some real beauts.

But I don't ascribe them to 'the universe winking at us.'

The implications of that sentence are quite simply awe-inspiring. Especially in a post that goes on to refer to the neurological basis for memory.

I'm sig-lining it.

ON EDIT: Or trying to. It's not working, for some reason. However, when I typed it, I had limited knowledge and wrote about what I knew at the time.

ON SECOND EDIT: There we go!

Mysticism and synchronicity are bigger and older than the CIA. (And the CIA is just another facet of the One, if you wanna get down and mystical.)

But it seems that Hugh thinks all coincidences are either "mere" or "CIA" and has no belief in meaningful, non-spook coincidences.

Of course, Hugh has limited knowledge and writes about what he knows at the time.

:D

You're dancing around the question though - do you still think my teapot coincidence or website is a product of the CIA?

Were not talking about the same thing, dear.
I am talking about personally meaningful life experiences (not media), that defy the generally accepted explanation (the materialistic, newtonian worldview) of reality.

Besides, I only read Jung after I had had some of those experiences, and was looking for other sources who had gone thru similar events.
In addition to Jung, there is a rich tradition and acknowledgment of this phenomena in shamanic traditions all over the world, and some eastern philosophies (like zen buddhism that I consider myself a bastard apprentice of, in a way).

For some food for thought.

(Actually, I agree in a way here, as its refered to by Hugh.)

Still, Hugh, is Master Joe doing ‘covert advertising’? Or is there meaning to be found that cannot be contained in your scientistic take on reality, leading to your pathological distain for all possibilities beyond the limits of materialistic reductionism?

Wad do you say? Can I get a witness?

He has appointed himself the Grand Inquisitor when it comes to any discussion that doesn't acknowledge his loony metaconspiracy, and he will attempt to inject said theory with the politeness and tact of a granite boulder dropping on one's head.

It would be nice to be able to discuss synchronicity and related topics without having it denigrated as "shit" and, by association, the slander that those of us who find it fascinating are full of shit.

This forum is not, and never had been, limited to the discussion of politics, deep politics, or the fucking CIA. But since there is no moderated "safe haven" from threadjackery, my suggestion is just to not feed the trollish manatees.

Please carry on with this very fascinating thread. This is why I love RI.

Gee, what a coincidence that Pan would post on this very thread solely for the purpose of smearing HMW, and not have anything to say about the topic. That's not trollish behavior though, because Pan is a moderator and he loves RI.

If we can only get Hugh to ingest megadoses of LSD, then he would understand the universe and all it's synchronicities...right, Pan?

Now wouldn't it REALLY be something if Orz showed up to cheer the professor on and ridicule HMW? (Synchronized trolling.)

Yeah, my life's aim is to smear Hugh. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face thinking of new ways to deflect and divert the manatee's penetrating insights into contemporary media psyops. Good call, username.

Sadly, it's all too frequent that I return to RI and read a thread about a subject I enjoy (synchronicity being one) only to find Hugh derailing the fuck out of it. Hence my expressions of displeasure.

And I wouldn't suggest that Hugh ingest LSD as the abundant evidence points to his already tenuous hold on reality.

Sorry Pan.

Do what you will. Didn't mean to interrupt. I personally get a kick out of Hugh, and he really blows me away at times. Also, I have no problem accepting Hugh for what he is and what he does, and find him much less irritating than some others who have come and gone through the years.

I'd been wanting to add to this thread, because of my own experiences with synchronicities, then realized, (even before finding the articles I had posted on pg. 1, where the Tony Vigorito writes:

In my research on synchronicity, I had learned that it is most likely to emerge during and after ego-shattering experiences. These include near-death experiences, the death of loved ones, the end (or the beginning) of love relationships, shamanic / visionary experiences, travel, and so forth. Psychology typically deems this a form of dissociation in response to psychological trauma, and this is probably correct.

...that it's often associated with either altered states or crisis, that I wouldn't be able to make a very convincing show for their validity, and could rightly be brushed off with the above description of dissociation.

Regardless, I tend to be a believer in the interconnectedness of things & events, cause & effect, and all that stuff. Have had a great relationship with the mother-of-all synchronicities, the I Ching, through the years, and I never cease to be amazed at my chances of finding books on the topics I happen to be studying at the time.

I understand the caution some may have, the wasteland of the mind where many find themselves lost in dreams and Jung and drugs, an inner world of wonder that has not much to do with the outer world of reality...you've met them before, I know--Lights on, nobody home.

That's all for now.

(another reason I wanted to write this post was to ask HMW--
Have you ever dropped acid Hugh? Just curious.)

Sounder, as someone who has practiced Qigong on and off for about 10 years, I am convinced of its benefits. But as a mentalist, I also know ways to duplicate some of the "miracles" of Master Joe.

And Qigong masters have not been above a little trickery to impress the unconvinced.

Just FYI.

Yeah, Rumi, Lao-Tzu, Hildegard of Bingen, Pythagoras, Albertus Magnus, Meister Eckhart, and Alan Watts were such shills for the CIA.
