Amen. And my exact reason for posting this post is as you say. I'm trying to alert fellow travelers. An ill wind this way blows. As I said previously the constitution is no more. If any disbelieve simply look at the new laws.
and riddle yourself this...one....the ramifications are what they are...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi on Thursday endorsed a movement announced by other congressional Democrats on Wednesday to ratify an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that would allow Congress to regulate political speech when it is engaged in by corporations as opposed to individuals.

This is a potential change to the first amendment. This is serious business. This is speech rights we are talking about. This bill would limit speech. I'm a little old fashioned when it comes to speech. I don't care what people say but I think they should be allowed to say it, whatever it is. When we lose that, its game over.

Maybe you should care. It is fine to see what all sides are saying and to try to understand an issue from a different point of view. But if you are hearing nothing but lies, you aren't learning anything about anything, except the propaganda of the hour. If you get anything from such a biased source, you need to spend a little time researching the claims made therein. That goes for any source, really. "Citation needed" at all times.eyeno wrote:I have no idea who cns is and I don't care. It is the content of the bill that I take notice of.
OK, who is the Media Research Center? The CNSNews.com (or Cybercast News Service), formerly called the Conservative News Service, is an American news website owned by the Media Research Center
No ownership information, etc plainly visible on the About page. I lost interest.Rush Limbaugh: "CNSnews.com breaks new ground on stories that mainstream journalists don’t cover."
Sean Hannity: "I'm a big fan. I quote CNS News all the time."
Mark Levin: "I read CNSnews.com every day and so should you."
...California is also planning on calling a constitutional convention to pass an amendment that would repeal the decision[1]
Not an amendment yet, not a law; not even a resolution by a state legislature yet. Pelosi not involved, except by party affiliation.Assembly Judiciary Committee Passes Wieckowski, Allen Resolution Urging Congress to Overturn Citizens United
Sacramento – The state Assembly Judiciary Committee voted overwhelmingly Tuesday morning to support a resolution calling on Congress to overturn the United States Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission. The resolution next heads to the floor of the state Assembly.
