A temperature gauge for threads. Base the temp on frequency of new posts and the amount of quoting, and possibly linked to a profanity filter (more profanity, higher temp).

Not a fan of "likes" - that's the meaningless transactional conditioning that gives Internets the crazy-making edge. Not a fan.

Big fan of a hard coded limit on the number of nested quotes possible in a single post. Is that do-able?

Agreed, that would be cool. Although it might be easier to use CSS. (For example, you could set display:none on any quotes beyond a given level of depth. Or if that doesn't work, set a height beyond which a scrollbar appears.)

It would be interesting to create a 'voice bank' - i.e. - record your actual voice reading one of your posts, with attendant intonation and inflection - so that when anyone reads a post by a member who has added to the voice bank, they hear that voice in their head - as opposed to our own concocted 'internal voice' for that person - which really gets a lot of overuse on the internet.
It would be pretty unique. I'll wager there would be a few surprises.
