I know some liberals (even here wink wink) who want to see Trump win because he will burn the whole thing down. I can't get behind that because I know people who have young children. We cannot have the disgusting Trump be president. That doesn't mean I'm voting for Clinton though at all.

these two things are of course in no way mutually exclusive. in fact it is precisely this blind fanaticism of hers that engenders her evilness.

Her evilness is mundane to the point of meh.

Its the sort of traditional evil which all westerners directly benefit from. Which makes us all hypocrites for judging her.

Sorry but in a class struggle all of the people who can afford to read this post indirectly support world and body destroying policies simply by doing so. It is naive to believe otherwise. We are the status quo. Every time you catch a pokemon you're creating the incentive for American imperialism.

Sorry, yes. I find the idea of Russian complicity fascinating. Also probable.

I was simply distracted by the invert misogyny implied in your coattail analogy and felt compelled to comment in the absence of vociferous complaining.

Funny thing is, despite the cliche inherent in blaming Putin, its exactly the kind of pettiness I can easily imagine him indulging.

Well that you can imagine it isn't exactly evidence. And the whole story was manufactured to distract from
The real subject at hand.

And if you think Hillary is someone who's really doing her best and isn't an evil person at heart, how do you explain what she did to Libya? That was reportedly her doing, something she pushed for.

Sighs. Sorry. I'm just so tired of listening to romans complain about caesar.
The fact is that you couldn't possibly afford to complain if your society didn't oppress various other societies.

Oil is a deflated cost, as are the South African components in your pc (or phone) which cost blood to maintain. If you really cared about libyans you'd do what jesus suggested and sell all your property and preach on the street corner. Until you do, whining about atrocities, the commission of which is technically her job, is extremely hypocritical.

Ok. Well as observers and sharers of information about this criminal culture, that's kind of what we do here. You know, whining.

We assume the average Roman knew where the wealth of Rome came from. But did he or she? How many Romans who were aware attempted to share the info about their Ceasars? Did they try to do anything about it? Or were they complicit simply because they were citizens?

Hey OP ED.

What's also fascinating is the way in which Putin personally has become this Real Man Crush for American whites of a certain kind. If 'it was the Russians' might sound damning, 'Putin did it' is much less so. I mean check out this quote by slimmouse, in this very thread:

slimmouse » Thu Jul 28, 2016 8:23 am wrote:,
“We as a species have the choice to continue to develop our bodies and brains in a healthy upward trajectory, or we can follow the Western example of recent decades and intentionally poison our population with genetically altered food, pharmaceuticals, vaccinations, and fast food that should be classified as a dangerous, addictive drug.”

He further described the average government-controlled Westerner as an

“intensively vaccinated borderline autistic fat man slumped in front of a screen battling a high-fructose corn syrup comedown.”

While his sentiments will raise the hackles of the average American, the fact is, Russian President Vladimir Putin is right.

Now, obviously Putin never said this. So why would an American anti-vax snake oil salesman use him as his celebrity endorsement? And why would slimmouse take it at face value?

Most interesting - who made up the quote? And is there an intelligence angle there? Baxter Dmitry is the new Sorcha Faal, and, I expect, is going to get more traction than 'her'.

Interesting, about this guy. Here's a list of his recent article for that same site:

Does remind me of Sorcha Faal.

Let me apologise cordially and unreservedly if Putin didnt actually say this, whilst thanking you for your usual dilligence Stefano. ( And Hi again OP ED)

I originally heard the quote on the latest episode of the Psychedelic salon, which is a site whose host I clearly appear to be holding a little too much trust in. Hence one reason I took it at face value. (The episode is a podcast which looks more specifically at Proposition 64, regarding legalised Marijuana in California)

The major reason i put so much faith in the words however should be obvious to most around here, shouldnt it? Namely the unmistakable ring of truth that it has to it.

Edited to add, If that is the original source, Dmitry makes Sorcha faal sound like a bastion of truth

Well the quote has a ring of truth, absolutely, but the attribution to Putin is a bit weaker. Politicians don't say stuff like that - to the contrary they always insist how much they respect "the * people" - like, it's just the government that's the trouble.

The point I was trying to make was about this Putin brand, though - just his name now connotes... what, exactly? Opposition to globalism, macho pride, forthright honesty...? What else? Certainly a lot of things that (as I see it) a lot of Americans are proud of in their own national character, and feel they have lost to a centralising, authoritarian (and at the same time sissifying), corrupt federal government. Which is why respect for Putin overlaps with support for Trump, who is running in opposition to that same establishment.

Indeed. Putin is the Russian equivalent of the same blowback from white male butthurt that our own republicans have nurtured into a full grown monster. I find the fascination with him frightening for the same reason that trumps rise is disconcerting for anyone who takes the world more seriously than he does, i.e. everyone else except Putin.

All we complicit complacent reaping what we've sown.
