Ishmael & Isaac

Image

This image was captured on June 5th, 1998. The man in the middle is actually Don Henley, not Paul Hewson.

On the date that that photo was taken, there was not a citizen of the United States who did not know who Monica Lewinsky was.
She was the lead story of the 24/7 newscycle for pretty much that whole year.
This cycle would not fully close until the end of 2000 as we were ushered into a new era.

Ms. Clinton doesn't look as if she is ready to forgive Mr. Clinton quite yet, does she?

For some reason in the 80's, Mr. Bono and Mr. Henley started to resemble each other.

As their respective songs criss-crossed across the Pop charts,
rising and falling, a strange metempsychosis was taking place.

I was not the only soul who noticed this.

Perhaps the transmigration was merely a reflection of something much larger going on in that bygone era of innocence ending.

every night it's the same old crowd in smoky rooms
you catch a glimpse of love sometimes, but it never blooms

Image
i've been around this block a time or two
eye've made some big mistakes

-
have you come here for forgiveness
have you come to raise the dead

Image
have you come here to play Jesus
to the lepers in your head

it's too late - tonight
to drag the past out into the light
we're one

but we are not the same

the more i know - the less eye understand
all the things i thought i knew - i'm learning them again

my will gets weak - my thoughts seem to scatter
but i think it's about forgiveness

again on money and specifically silver,
silver is now in backwardation (or has a downward sloping forward curve) most likely meaning that the physical silver is simply not available for purchase where there are offers being made
Backwardation very seldom arises in money commodities like gold or silver. In the early 1980s, there was a one-day backwardation in silver while some metal was physically moved from COMEX to CBOT warehouses.
wiki
it is almost certain that the bank that suppress precious metal prices are struggling to contain it and silver is heading for much higher prices soon
the question is why, who, why, what, why, when, why and why again?

Smiths, those are questions that fascinate me, and led by my way with whim, I come up with a notion or two or three.

I wouldn’t know where to begin imagining what other fauna might’ve used or use as some kind of tokens in their exchanges, presuming they did at times during their respective evolutions, but I’ve been guessing commerce or exchanges of things between and within human tribes began with plants or seeds or rocks or small pet-like animals.

Exchanging things or bartering helps, like assistance, likely became conveniences devised upon the settling in of the prefrontal cortex, the existence and functions of which some would note as only 45 to 75 thousand years old. Mentioning the prefrontal cortex is the reason for this post, actually.

Then, there’s the wealth of salt as exchange; elsewhere, then, there are coins.

My wiggly ideas spelled out above are worth like 2¢, yet a sum paid by the highest bidder just last week! Thanks for asking the questions, really.
Art will be the last bastion when all else fades away.

>>>>It also upped its monthly asset purchases by spending an additional $45 billion a month on Treasuries.
"Is there anything whereof it may be said; See this is new ?
it hath been already of old time which was before us."

they print up money with which they buy evidences of their own debt ..... is this the way out of indebtedness ? first to borrow, then to print ?
this newly printed money makes its way to holders of evidences of debt, they now have to find investment for this money ..... is this how you chanell purchasing power to the people ?

If there is a shortage of currency in existence and circulation, and if the purpose of this exercise is to provide sufficient amount of circulating medium, would it not be better simply to send 45 billion a month to the citizens of the United States ? leave the middle men out, and save the interest and princple

Senator Reed. Have you ever given any special study to the Bank of England and its methods of preserving a parity of paper ?

Mr. Berry. Yes, sir; one has to give attention to that, and of course it is very frequently injected into the argument as something to copy.

My own judgment about it is that it is something to avoid. The method of the Bank of England is to conserve its reserve by raising the discount rate. By raising the discount rate it practically puts the brakes on business and stops the expansion of business whenever it is necessary to preserve their gold situation.

It is left out of this short movie that, on average, 55% of the shares of these banks mentioned in the flick are held by pension funds and mutual funds.
Many people receive a handsome monthly cheque derived from the ativities of these too big to fail corporations
