Don't know if this has been posted yet, but it reminds me of the SPP protests in Montebello Quebec, provocateurs...

G20: Epic Undercover Police Fail

Saturday September 26 2009: Three undercover officers attempt to infiltrate a March Against Police Brutality at the University of Pittsburgh, but fail miserably due to their horrendous disguise attempts. During the march, one of them breaks a photographer's camera. This is just one example of a larger pattern of attempts to silence the media during the G20 protests.
Suffering raises up those souls that are truly great; it is only small souls that are made mean-spirited by it.

Man, those 3 weren't even TRYING. Trying to divert attention from somethign else - or less blatantly obvious infiltrators perhaps?

Marmot being on the ground in Pittsburgh gives him a unique perspective on the G20 protests. However, I believe he has been chased from RI, which is unfortunate.

How very civilized of you. Tell me, beeline: Would you say that a male high school student who got kicked off the debate team for yanking down the panties of some girl who happened to be his opponent during a match he lost because he flubbed his rebuttal to her had been chased from the competition, which was unfortunate?

Because frankly, I really, really don't appreciate being blamed for marmot's inability to man up and take responsibility for offenses that were committed by him and not by me. I also really, really don't appreciate the historical revisionism, btw. As you should be able to see perfectly well without reviewing any sources other than this thread, nobody chased anybody anywhere. Admin (ie, Jeff) gave marmot an I-expect-you-to-apologize fair warning, which marmot chose to ignore. Entirely by his own free agency and without any help from me.

In short, I agree that we all have our faults. But we don't all have each other's. So I'd be much obliged to you if in future you paused to give a moment's thought to the question of who was at fault for what before you started announcing your beliefs wrt to the cause-and-effect dynamic that led to marmot's unfortunate absence from this thread.

beeline wrote:You could be right bph, maybe I'm letting my own feelings get in the way. FWIW, I didn't really follow the interactions between marmot and c2w? too closely, other than what went on in this thread. I've got enough negativity on the home front already.

I'm sincerely sorry to hear that you're having negativity on the home front. Also, I don't fault you at all for feeling a natural inclination to stand by your friend. And I apologize for the yield-no-quarter tone of this post, which is not in any way expressive of anger at you or of any other personally hostile feelings. I just absolutely refuse to take the fall for what were in fact marmot's bad acts toward me and not my bad acts toward marmot. As I'm sure you can understand.

Thanks.

I'm smart enough to know I'm too dumb to get into any argument with you c2w?.

I apologize for any offense, that certainly was not my intention.

Mea culpa, mea culpa.

Has anyone actually been in contact with marmot?

He may not even have read a lot of the stuff on this thread and given that he said he was going off-board for a while, it's important to put forward the possibility; certainly I have posted things in the past which created a thread war and I didn't discover it till returning a couple of weeks later.

This thing feels raw and painful.
