American Dream wrote:So many red flags around William Close including being personal physician to the CIA's boy Mobutu, as well as the Ebola ties, which may well lead to the world of biological warfare. Moral Rearmament is alleged by CIA big cheese Miles Copeland to have willingly made itself part of the Cold War apparatus, linking up operationally with the CIA in the 50's.
I'm sure there's more than that..
What's the deal with the seemingly inordinate number of Military - Intelligence brats getting into the 'Entertainment' Industry?
This level is required for work with dangerous and exotic agents that pose a high individual risk of aerosol-transmitted laboratory infections, agents which cause severe to fatal disease in humans for which vaccines or other treatments are not available, such as Bolivian and Argentine hemorrhagic fevers, Marburg virus, Ebola virus, Lassa fever, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever, and other various hemorrhagic diseases.
The life of Dr. William Close
February 9, 2009
We remember the late Doctor William Close who passed away last month. He was the father of actress Glenn Close, and once the personal doctor of the president of Zaire ( Mobutu also had met Patrice Lumumba ). While there he worked to stop the first Ebola epidemic in Zaire. Anchor Marco Werman talks to a friend and colleague of Dr. Close, Dr. Joel Breman, of the National Institutes of Health.

Glenn Close is not happy about her cameo at the end of a raunchy video made by a high-ranking Navy commander. Her publicist released the following statement to the Washington Post:
"I am distraught that my image has been used to perpetuate something that I abhor. The cynical, unauthorized use of my image in this video is deeply offensive and insulting, and was the result of a seemingly innocent request of me during a visit to the aircraft carrier over four years ago."
Videos featuring homophobic slurs and simulated masturbation, feces consumption and anal probing were made aboard the USS Enterprise several years ago by Capt. Owen Honor, who was relieved of his command on Tuesday. They surfaced Saturday in a report released by the Virginian-Pilot.
Glenn unwittingly appears toward the end of the video below holding a stuffed parrot during a montage to Peter Cetera's 'Glory of Love,' just after a close shot of condoms and lube.

Second Ebola patient wheeled into Atlanta hospital for treatment
(Reuters) - An American missionary stricken with Ebola in West Africa wore a protective white suit on Tuesday as she was wheeled on a stretcher into the Atlanta hospital where doctors will try to save her and a fellow aid worker from the deadly virus.
Nancy Writebol, 59, arrived in the United States after being flown overnight from Liberia and will be treated by infectious disease specialists at Emory University Hospital, according to Christian missionary group SIM USA.
She will be in the same isolation ward as Kent Brantly, 33, an Ebola-infected American doctor who was able to walk into the hospital when he arrived by ambulance on Saturday.
The pair, who served on a joint team in Monrovia run by Christian aid groups SIM USA and Samaritan's Purse, are believed to be the first Ebola patients treated in the United States.

The relief groups have said the condition of each aid worker improved in Liberia after the pair received an experimental drug developed by a San Diego-based private biotech firm and previously tested only in monkeys.
Bruce Johnson, president of SIM USA, said he did not know if Writebol and Brantly would get more of the drug at Emory, and representatives for Samaritan's Purse and the hospital declined to comment on specific treatments.

Johnson said it was still unknown how Writebol contracted Ebola. A longtime missionary from Charlotte, North Carolina, Writebol had been working for SIM USA as a hygienist who decontaminated protective suits worn by healthcare workers inside an isolation unit at a Monrovia treatment center.
MONROVIA, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Ebola virus has killed 268 people in Liberia including 37 healthcare workers, Assistant Health Minister for Preventive Services Tolbert Nyenswah said Tuesday.
Meanwhile, nurses and health workers has abandoned most health facilities in the country. A Xinhua reporter in the capital city of Monrovia said a dead body is found on the streets almost everyday.
Sierra Leone observes one day stay at home
FREETOWN, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- Freetown, the capital and the entire Sierra Leone was on Monday like a "ghost town" as residents of the west african state observed a one day "Stay Home" proclaimed by the President for people to "reflect, pray and educate" family members on the Ebola virus.
All shops and offices were closed for stock taking on the disease, traffic was at a stand still with no vehicle movement except essential staffs who were going around sensitizing the people on the dangers of the disease. All radio stations throughout the country including the national broadcaster dedicated the entire day on educating and sensitizing its listeners on the disease.
In a radio broadcast on Monday, the President reminded his compatriots that "I declared today a national stay at home day for family reflection, education and prayers on the outbreak of ebola.
He said "we set up this day because of our conviction that as a nation of families, the family is the key to our fight against the ebola disease". He said as a government they have scaled up the fight and so asked his compatriots to scale his or her effort against the ebola disease.
"In this fight if every single individual or community or town fails to act, the risk to our society will increase." This is why the Head of State urged his people that whoever is informed must "educate every other member of the family".
He went further to say "it is very necessary to get those with the virus to the treatment center not only to prevent others from contracting the virus but also increases their chances of survival".
To see the effect of the proclamation by the President, Xinhua together with other correspondents hired a vehicle to the headquarter of the south, Bo, and observed that the 260 kilometres was completely abandoned, there was no vehicle on the road except health workers or small gatherings of four or five as the car went by.
