Aliens 'already exist on earth', Bulgarian scientists claim

Postby jingofever » Fri Nov 27, 2009 12:03 am

My first thought is that somebody is pranking the Telegraph or somebody is pranking the Bulgarians. C.V. of Lachezar Filipov - so he is at least real. Anyway, link:

Aliens from outer space are already among us on earth, say Bulgarian government scientists who claim they are already in contact with extraterrestrial life.

Work on deciphering a complex set of symbols sent to them is underway, scientists from the country's Space Research Institute said.

They claim aliens are currently answering 30 questions posed to them.

Lachezar Filipov, deputy director of the Space Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, confirmed the research.

He said the centre's researchers were analysing 150 crop circles from around the world, which they believe answer the questions.

"Aliens are currently all around us, and are watching us all the time," Mr Filipov told Bulgarian media.

"They are not hostile towards us, rather, they want to help us but we have not grown enough in order to establish direct contact with them."

Mr Filipov said that even the seat of the Catholic church, the Vatican, had agreed that aliens existed.

He said humans were not going to be able to establish contact with the extraterrestrials through radio waves but through the power of thought.

"The human race was certainly going to have direct contact with the aliens in the next 10 to 15 years," he said.

"Extraterrestrials are critical of the people's amoral behavior referring to the humans' interference in nature's processes."

The publication of the BAS researchers report concerning communicating with aliens comes in the midst of a controversy over the role, feasibility, and reform of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

Last week it lead to a heated debate between Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, and President Georgi Parvanov.

More detailed analysis from The Register:
"They are very skeptical of our use of cosmetics, and artificial insemination because this is unnatural," he reportedly said.

There was no word on the aliens' views on gang-probing of humans abducted as part of their "research" programme.

No word either of who's questions the aliens are answering. Could anyone in psychic contact with them please ask how to build a nuclear fusion reactor?

This is consistent with my experience of the, uh, "aliens". They tend to find the humans that are equipped to make contact in this way. According to African folklore there are many different kinds, good and bad. The bad ones are the ones that kidnap people for experiments and turn cows inside out. I would try to describe the phenomenon of making contact, but I'm afraid it is beyond language. You'll have to try to receive my thought waves.

The Telegraph has been developing quite a little sideline in alien articles. They show little thought or awareness of the subject, but it probably pulls in revenue.

FWIW (and I don't think it's going too far out on a limb to say: it aint worth all that much), the Bulgarian Institute for Space Exploration was among the countries with instruments aboard the Indian lunar probe Chandrayaan-1, which was lost in the middle of a communications session near the end of its mission while orbiting the moon in late August 2009.

The Times of India quotes project director M. Annadurai as saying "The mission is definitely over. We have lost contact with the spacecraft. It (Chandrayaan-1) has done its job technically...100 per cent. Scientifically also, it has done almost 90-95 percent of its job."

IBNLive reports that S Satish, director of ISRO's public relations, told them "scientists were unable to know what is happening to the spacecraft because of the snag. He said ISRO was not in communication with Chandrayaan 1 and was unable to determine what was happening to the spacecraft after the radio link was lost. 'We are not able to establish communication with the spacecraft--that is what we mean by loss of radio link. It is some sort of serious problem. We are not able to establish communication with the spacecraft, so we are not able to know what is happening to the spacecraft. This anomaly is being analysed from the data received last.'"

Chandrayaan-1 was launched on October 22, 2008 and had been intended to conduct a two-year primary mission. During 312 days at the Moon it orbited more than 3,400 times and returned more than 70,000 images, plus other data. More than half of its instruments were provided by (or in cooperation with) ESA and NASA; several were copies of those on ESA's SMART-1, and one was a duplicate of the Mini-SAR instrument now in orbit on NASA's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter. ISRO has posted some images and data from the mission here.

An obvious question seems to be: why did ISRO give up so quickly? It's been less than two days since the loss of contact. I don't have an answer for that.

Trippy...I thought this was going to be from the British Sun tabloid not the Telegraph.

Usually when we hear scientists beliefs in aliens(like the recent Newsweek cover), its in a vague sort of "well the calculated odds and statistical probability are that they exist" way...and not the David Icke sort of way.

Im sure there are "good" "aliens", if "alien" is the word we're using. Just like I wouldnt be surprised if there are a kind of guardian gift within select humans.

It is strangely ironic and appropriate for the Vatican to throw their Dagon hat in the ring...given the subject of "aliens" seems more spiritual than nuts and bolts and terrestrial planets.

... and all of this coincides with earlier "leaks" and predictions that the Obama administration was going to do disclosure by the end of the year...

Doesn't the Sun have a life on Mars article on their paper right now?

They said no. I hear solar, wind and water power should be sufficient if we stopped using so much resources for warfare and excess ;)
And probably could come up with the fusion reactor too if such reallocation should be made.

No, they'll say that we have to sequester all the CO2 in old oil wells so that we can get the last drops out!! Bwahahahahh

Pity. I was hoping the aliens would be thinking in paradigms way in advance
of our own on these issues, not identically....

Perhaps they are still incapable of identifying root causes of amoral
behaviour, and would just like to be critical of it, perhaps they are no
better than us after all.
