Happy Christmas, goddammit!

Postby MacCruiskeen » Fri Dec 23, 2011 8:40 pm

Despite being a godless lefty, I have always loved Christmas and I have never found a reason not to. The birth of a baby is always worth celebrating*, especially when that baby grows up out of poverty and obscurity to become a symbol of resistance to liars, merchants, politicians and priests (four words for the same thing).

So get away outa that, o liberal commentariat! with your endless clichéd spiritually-empty** prattle about spiritual emptiness and consumerism and materialism and the awful bourgeois family or any such deadman's talk, because it's all just vain self-serving nonsense and all it describes is mere epiphenomena which are inevitable under capitalism & patriarchy (and visible to everyone in any case), and which your wilful or helpless or careerist scroogeism only makes worse.

So Happy Christmas, one and all.*** Here's to new life in a dead time.

*I avoided using the word 'miracle' there.

**I'm choosing my words carefully.

***including and especially anyone whose feelings I've hurt unnecessarily here over the last year.

Good side-

The company I work for, and many others, match donations to charities.
Funds go to a "goddamn" excellent cause, the poor, young, and needy.

A brief break from the CIA-Republican year-round eugenics agenda is allowed to placate distress accrued from social Darwinist agendas.

Bad side-

This one week of humanism allowed out of 51 helps to sustain the fascist status quo the rest of the year.
See- 'How the Gingrich Stole Christmas.'
CIA runs mainstream media since WWII:
news rooms, movies/TV, publishing
...
Disney is CIA for kidz!

Well, they tell me the boys and girls are finding out there's no Santa by using that Google on the computer, finding that information on the internet that says Santa isn't real.

And I just say, children, there's all kinds of fucking bullshit on that internet.

If ifs and buts
Were candy and nuts,
We'd all have a Merry Christmas.

Happy Christmas, goddammit.

I wish you love And happiness
I guess I wish you All the best
I wish you don't Do like I do
And ever fall in love with Someone like you
Cause if you fell Just like I did
You'd probably walk around the block like a little kid.
But kids don't know They can only guess
How hard it is To wish you happiness

I guess that love Is like a Christmas card
You decorate a tree You throw it in the yard
It decays and dies And the snowmen melt
Well I once knew love I knew how love felt
Yeah I knew love Love knew me
And when I walked Love walked with me
And I got no hate And I got no pride
Well I got so much love That I cannot hide

Say you drive a Chevy Say you drive a Ford
You say you drive around the town till you just get bored
Then you change your mind For something else to do
And your heart gets bored with your mind and it changes you
Well it's a doggone shame And it's an awful mess
I wish you love I wish you happiness
I wish you love I wish you happiness
I guess I wish you All the best
Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

My son just turned 9, and he still believes in Santa Claus.

I'm starting to feel guilty about this.

Knowing my son, he's going to be very angry and will feel very betrayed when he learns out he's been lied to all this time.

I stopped at 8, when I accidentally saw some presents in my Mom's closet that later, under the tree, were from "Santa".

I almost feel like deliberately mucking it up for him this year the same way.

But I won't.

I'm still required to write letters from Santa and the Easter Bunny, who both have their own distinctive handwriting. My kids are 20 and 23.

I'm working! :yay Really, I'm happy because I need the $$. This year has been extremely difficult as I'm sure it has for most of us. Wishing everyone a safe and happy holiday. :angelwings:
