Israeli Officials: Let’s Starve Iranian Civilians
Officials Figure Starving Iranians Would Probably Impose Regime Change
by Jason Ditz, February 29, 2012

Hot on the heels of the US “food for nukes” deal with North Korea, officials in the Israeli government are calling for mass starvation to be imposed on Iran as a way of forcing regime change and abandonment of the nation’s civilian nuclear program.

“Suffocating sanctions could lead to a grave economic situation in Iran and to a shortage of food,” one of the officials claimed. Though thanks to inflation the price of food is rising and causing hardships for average Iranians, it isn’t clear how officials propose to force a famine on the nation.

Unlike North Korea, with its backwards, state-run agricultural industry, Iran is actually a net food exporter, and while more sanctions could make the industry less efficient and perhaps curb exports, it would not make the food Iran does grow disappear into thin air.

The comments suggest that Israel is growing impatient with the ongoing sanctions against Iran, and is looking for something that will be a “game changer” that finally forces regime change or at least spawns an international objection that can be used as an excuse for a unilateral attack. The idea that a suddenly starving populace is going to overthrow its government on behalf of those that are starving them, however, seems to fly in the face of the history of sanctions.

Sure. Those nasty civilians deserve the government they have! Wait, didn't OBL say this about Americans, and why Americans citizens were free game, because we voted our leaders in and were responsible for them?

And yeah, these Iranians are such nasty monsters:

Image

Weird thing, I googled "beautiful Iranian women protests" because I wanted to find some of the photos of those smokin' hot Iranian women who were protesting for their rights a while back. I found the photo above, but when I tried to hit the "back" button, I got this:

Invalid URL

The requested URL "/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=beautiful+iranian+women+protest&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8", is invalid.

Then when I simply tried to google the words again, I got the same message.

I've had some WEIRD WEIRD crap like this happening on my computer involving google searches and sites involving 9/11 and Israel and Iran lately.

on edit: Holy shit, now I can't even get the Google home page to come up on my computer!!

My observation may not be valid because I have no way to verify it in any scientific manner, but, within the last couple of weeks it seems to me that internet search results have been different in a censoring sort of way in search engines other than google too. I use ixquick mostly and lately it seems like the results have been a little more filtered. This may be my imagination and have no validity but it is something I have considered in the last couple of weeks.

Such hypocrites. Always trying to stick the "Nazi" label on others, when they're describing the monster in the mirror. Like in that cartoon that slad posted in another thread:

Try transposing the words 'Iran' and 'Israel' in the topic article above and 'nuclear program' for 'nuclear weapons' for a sense of how incredibly hypocritical, biased & malicious both the article and the American culture that made it possible are. Actually, I suppose a lot of folks here might have done that subconsciously. Given that Iran has a very long tradition and history spurning voluntary wars that contrasts with the US & Israel which are the loudest, most aggressive cheerleaders for 'Bomb Iran!', one would think the irony wouldn't be lost on the American public. Unfortunately however, that may be too much to expect.

It is very powerful to do that transposition, it REALLY brings a perspective that illustrates there is something very very whack with the worldview of many Israelis. I could see and hear the frenzy on the media if Iran had said that. When an IsraelFirster says it, tumbleweeds blow across the desert highway...

Media? Hell, the UN Security Council would call an emergency meeting; lawsuits charging the Iranian officials with "inciting genocide" would be launched at the International Criminal Court; even Russia, China, Venezuela and Iran's other allies would be forced to distance themselves from Iran; pundits would ascribe the Iranian officials' statements to their religion; American officials would consider the statements to be a clear declaration of war, legally and morally justifying a military attack by Israel.

Evil grows unchecked in the space between double standards.
