About 2 weeks ago I spent an hour with Russell Libby videotaping an interview with him at his farmhouse in Mount Vernon
Maine. Russell had Stage IV prostate cancer that had metastasized to his spine which required him to lay down for the interview.

During the 1990's I had a booth for 7 years at the Common Ground Fair held in Unity Maine .
My booth was located in the Social Action tent along with 20 other Peace and Justice groups.
More than 20,000 people would pass through the fairgrounds during the last weekend in September each year.
My booth had a table adorned with books for sale dealing with crimes committed by FBI agents
along with bumper stickers and T-Shirts embossed with Robert Shetterly graphics depicting FBI
agents as orgres with the caption :

Oklahoma City bombing
Russell Libby was a driving force behind the success of the Maine Organic Farmers Association
which produces the Common Ground Fair.
Russell Libby passed away this week at the age of 56.
