Mass Shooting in California

Postby Hunter » Sat May 24, 2014 1:35 pm

Suspect Elliot Rodger, son of Peter Rodger, one of the directors of Hunger Games. Killed himself after shooting and killing 7-10 people. Uploaded Youtube video before shootings saying what he was about to do and the reason being he was "tired of seeing hot chicks with losers." Claims he is a good looking and rich and cant find any girls interested in him and he is fed up with it.

Reddit thread here:

http://www.reddit.com/r/news/comments/2 ... _link_has/

His posts at Bodybuilder forum complaining and girls going out with losers but wont date him, forum took posts down someone screencapped and made a PDF:

http://www.docdroid.net/ckku/im-tired-o ... -.pdf.html

The suspect (ER) released a video before the shootings promising retribution to all the college girls in his town. Whereby he would destroy them.

YOUTUBE VIDEO HE MADE JUST HOURS BEFORE SHOOTING JUST TAKEN DOWN BY YOUTUBE SO I CANT LINK TO IT NOW. Look around its probably out there somewhere, it was up five minutes ago.

Some witnesses saying there was an older man in car with him just before shooting but LEO has not confirmed yet. That is interesting, there is always some shady second guy in these events that witnesses see but LEO never confirms.

Hints of a second man in car with shooter:

Excerpt:
One woman identified as Sierra told Sanchez she was approached by two men in a black BMW. The driver flashed a small black handgun and asked '"Hey, what's up?"'
Sierra, who was visibly shaken, said she thought it was an airsoft gun and kept walking. She said seconds later, she felt something buzz by her head and quickly realized they were bullets. Three or four of them.
Sierra said she ran into a nearby home filled with strangers and explained what happened. She looked down and saw her iPhone had been shattered.

WHO AND WHERE IS THIS OTHER GUY?

CONFESSION VIDEO UP AT TMZ NOW:

http://www.tmz.com/videos/0_9a8f6djm/ can someone embed that for us to save it?

It was probably Nordic upset with his week long forced penance. (The extra guy)

I love Nordic and hope to see him back soon in equal parts utterly disgusted with this continued mass death happening in perpetuity.

However, as to the topic at hand. That is indeed odd the phenomena of original witnesses almost invariably having a second figure along side that is again, almost invariably heinous mass shootings. And again again again, they love the term "lone wolf" in the media and the shooters always have some youtube screed or something as well that gets scrubbed, but then goes viral anyway.

There's this grocery store I go to down the street and once in awhile there is this same guy wearing his gun on his holster shopping. Not to equate the two, but I bet he is convinced if something like this happened near him or was in the vicinity he could have prevented a few of those deaths. Second, I find it funny that only one person in the neighborhood feels the need to wear a firearm. I would feel seriously stupid, myself -- prancing around with a gun.

Maybe what she saw was a tulpa?

Seriously, there was a time, not even very long ago in the scope of even human history, that guns were carried everywhere out West. I mean, if you didn't have one around your hip, you had a rifle in your saddle, above your door, or even in the back window of your pick-em-up truck.
It was a time when force protection overrode societal/ safety/ ethical norms. The guns were used as a tool; a life-giving, rather than life-taking tool.
Now, the tools are more powerful, carry more ammunition; basically, everyone walks into the fight as an effing Gatlin. We can look to what that weapon did to subdue even the fiercest guerilla fighting Natives the West had to offer.
It's easy for me to say, but avoiding crowds and crowd situations is key to survival in today's modern society.
This axiom includes traffic...
Back to the story, I don't find it odd that multiple people are often reported on;
I find it odd how the targets continually are "soft", there's no warrior spirit, there's no engagement after law enforcement chooses to engage. I mean kids, and women? That's your idea of payback for non-attention?
I won't be surprised to hear about roids, HGH, or some other such chemical imbalances playing some part in this guys' final choices.
Just my two cents...
Well played, God. Well played".

IF this was a situation of a gunman running around on foot amid chaos and some witnesses said there was a second person involved I could write that off as confusion, but she says she saw TWO GUYS in the car AND SHE SPOKE TO THEM they approached her, IN THE CAR, that seems pretty clear to me, it is not often you confuse one guy in a car with two guys in a car, so I think if she said she saw two guys in the car and spoke to them up close I would tend to believe her, so where is the second guy, LEO hasnt said a thing about it and she isnt the only one who saw them both in the car.

Yet there is a warrior spirit, alive and well as embodied in that Cliven Ranch carnival. If they were really warriors they would be out performing drive-bys and getting some of their badly needed attention out of the way. Instead they just like to sit around the campfire stroking. While the bad guys are basically doing what they would like to be doing themselves -- shooting at those who AM radio told them and for others what their central casting boss told them to do. Yet they're the ones with that Olde West Warrior Spirit. Why can't people who want to shoot people and do so get such short shrift? It's no fair.

Good points. He looks pretty skinny so probably not roids, however, he was a regular at a bodybuilder forum so you may be on to something. Also seems very likely he was suffering from some sort of mental illness, you can detect it in his video and forum rants, kid definitely was not stable and that is probably why he couldnt get any girls. He is not your typical nerd, he looks to be a fairly good looking kid with money, nice car etc and still couldnt get any girls to pay attention to him so I suspect he was awkward and/or gave off a bad unstable vibe.

He also may have been living in the hollywood rich kid bubble with very little sense of reality and real world happenings.

But I dont think a girl who says she spoke to TWO guys in the car as it approached her is confused, she saw what she saw. I want to know who this second guy was and what role he played in this, if in fact there was a second guy.

This could have gone into the "War on Women" thread. The way this rhetoric has been simmering online over the last couple years has been troubling and I've been scared of something like this happening.
Lots of links at original, poring through the community.
Elliot Rodger, Gunman in California Mass Shooting, was influenced by the "Men's Rights Movement"
by OllieGarkey May 24, 2014 7:51am PDT
Trigger Warning: Violence against Women

Last Night in Santa Barbara California, a Gunman in a BMW opened fire on students near the UC Santa Barbara campus in Isla Vista. Seven are dead including the gunman, with a further seven injured.

The Gunman's Name is Elliot Rodger. Last night, he posted a chilling manifesto to youtube. Announcing that he is a 22 year old Virgin who has never been kissed he says:

"It's not fair. You girls have never been attracted to me. I don't know why you girls have never been attracted to me, but I will punish you all for it. It's an injustice, a crime, because I don't know what you don't see in me. I'm the perfect guy, and yet you throw yourselves at all these obnoxious men, instead of me, the supreme gentleman."
"I will punish all of you for it," he says again, and then he laughs.

"On the day of retribution I will enter the hottest sorority house of UCSB, and I will slaughter every single spoiled stuck up blonde slut I see inside there. All those girls that I've desired so much, they would have all rejected me and looked down upon me as an inferior man if I ever made a sexual advance towards them. While they throw themselves at these obnoxious brutes. I'll take great pleasure in slaughtering all of you. You will finally see that I am in truth the superior one. The true Alpha Male."

The true Alpha Male. What those who call themselves the Mens Rights Movement aspire to be.
The Men's Rights Movement as they call themselves is a nebulous group of pickup artists and misogynists who've found each other on line, and are attempting to create a movement based around their hatred, disdain, and fear of women.

We know for a fact that Rodgers was influenced by this movement, as he is subscribed to multiple "pick up artist" or "mens rights" channels on YouTube. (For those here that don't use YouTube, when a user subscribes to a channel, they receive notifications when that channel posts a new video.)

They include:

"The Player Supreme Show" which rails against the feminization of men and talks about how to pick up women.

"RSDfreetour" which is a series of self-help seminars run by RSD Nation, a "pick up artist" site.

There's also a user called McHenry Cruiser who in addition to being a pickup artist is a comedian who has some kind of beef with Louis CK, and another called "Squatting Cassanova," who seems to be your average PUA.

I'm still digging through some of the folks he's subscribed to.

He is what the Men's Rights movement calls an "Incel" which is short for involuntary celibacy. It's a hot topic in various parts of the manosphere.

Rather than seeking mental help for some obvious issues, he sought out the Men's Rights Movement. He watched their propaganda. He internalized their hatred of women. (There's no shortage of anti-woman rhetoric and nonsense. For some of the worst of it, check out The Red Pill's "Pussy Pass" forum, where they take isolated incidents, remove them from any rational context, and blow them way out of proportion.)

He listened to these guys talk about being hard, and tough, and true alpha men. He did what they told them, and began lifting weights. We know he had an account on body building forum which was recently deleted by their moderation team.

So this kid who needed some serious mental help sought out the destructive, BS views coming from the men's rights movement. He felt entitled to sex with women. He blamed women for not providing him with sex. He exposed himself to hateful rhetoric about women.

And then he acted on that hatred, and targeted college girls for a drive-by shooting, killed six, wounded seven, and then shot himself.

I don't think we should be at all surprised that when hateful rhetoric is trained on any group, lone wolves like this guy get triggered.

That bodybuilder forum has a lot of niche popularity; I see it linked pretty frequently for all kinds of testosterone-fueled subjects. It's definitely not relegated strictly to fitness and health.

It seems he sought some remedy from a body building gym for the part of his body he desired larger. Poor fellow was terribly confused.

My sympathies to all his victims.

Could the passenger have been a keeper?
Or do you feel the young man (E. R.) was mentally ill?

Watching his video. He can't even put up a convincing smile, and it sounds like he can't talk with a conversational tone or cadence.

it's hard to believe this is real. really hard to believe.
WAS HE WORKING OFF A SCRIPT?

That this mincing faux bond villain was probably assumed to be gay by most women he met, would be my guess. Would like to see some video of his father talking, I'm wondering where he picked up these affectations and psycho body-language. He doesn't sound like a soCal native, voice oddly reminds me of paul simon acting badly. Kinda has "sanpaku eyes" too

his father is NOT this Peter Rodgers... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Rogers

as to the report of a 2nd person in the car, it's conceivable he had someone else in the car initially, who ran like hell when the gun came out. of course it's also possible a handler was present to make sure the "scene" kicked off correctly.

Yea passenger could have easily bailed after the shooting, like I said, its not often you confuse one guy in a car for two, if people are saying they saw two guys in the car I tend to believe them. So WTF, what role did dude number 2 play in this, keeper, handler etc?
