"we need to remember what the secret is..."

From the Beneath the Rose thread below...

Peter Grey: "We need to take secrecy back, and we need to remember what the secret is. I am assuming that some of you know the secret?"

What secret?

"Resistance and knowledge begins in your body. Secrecy remains an essential power of the sphinx."

Is this the secret?

Discuss.

This has a passing scent of the secret...

The same two phrases grabbed me as it seems to have done to you also minime.

For me, the secret is much like the vid that Searcher08 posted. We bring to life what it is we focus on. It may be that because we are so distracted by social conditioning and ineffective response patterns that acknowledgment of the need and value of focus, and discerning an appropriate direction for focus, remains a ‘secret’ so as to help us avoid embarrassment.

We're reactive, rather than proactive.

While I agree with the sentiments expressed, that our projections create our reality, I seem unable to unthink my thoughts.

I'd love to be able to think something that hasn't been thunk before. An "original thought", if you will. Or even if you won't.

And while our projections create reality, so many other people's projections (often unconscious) are creating theirs and theirs impacts ours, especially when you get so many who see 'xyz' as inevitable. I can project peace and love for very limited amounts of time, but eventually the shit reality everyone else wants to settle for wins out and I become a cynical old bastard again.

Years ago I knew a guy who grew up to be enforcer for a cult. Along with teaching me the basics of spiritualist-style 'new thought' (some of which I recognize as the material used in 'the secret'), he used to tell me somewhat gleefully that there was no stopping armageddon because too many people were envisioning, embracing it. Try as I might, I cannot shift this belief in others and am probably doomed to ride over the falls in a barrel with them due to sheer numbers and cultural force.

I do appreciate what is being said, I have grown used to secrets and things I cannot articulate being locked inside anyways. But as much as I can carve out a destiny for one ( and those around me), I regret that it will likely take a miracle to shift the majority of humans out of their negative and suicidal trajectories. I do not advocate hopelessness, just pragmatism.

I think we have them all the time. Remember the joke you invented, the idea you had that appeared somewhere else later? It all goes into the 'dreamtime' and is picked up by others. Just because you didn't profit from it doesn't mean it is not your idea in the first place. :zomg :wink
