I guess Business Insider doesn't have an editor? I'm tempted to e-mail the second link to the writer at the first link. And, interesting the bogus repeat story has almost 10X the number of views.
At the first link (Alice's link), I didn't see a single comment refer to the news from two days ago that the FBI had refuted and retracted the story.
I got curious about Business Insider and looked at the Wikipedia article.
Acquisition
In September 2015, Re/Code revealed that Germany's largest publisher, Axel Springer, was nearing an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of Business Insider Inc. for a reported "500 million euros ($560 million)".[15]
On 29 September 2015, Axel Springer SE announced that it had acquired 88% of the stake in Business Insider Inc. for a reported $343 million (€306 million).[16][17] After the purchase Axel Springer SE will hold a stake of approximately 97%, the personal investment company of Jeff Bezos will hold the further shares.

So I looked at the Axel Springer SE article:
Corporate principles
Part of the articles of association of Axel Springer AG are the five socio-political preambles that were written by Axel Springer in 1967, amended in 1990 following German reunification and supplemented in 2001.[5]
To uphold liberty and law in Germany, a country belonging to the Western family of nations, and to further the unification of Europe.
To promote reconciliation of Jews and Germans and support the vital rights of the State of Israel.
To support the Transatlantic Alliance, and solidarity with the United States of America in the common values of free nations.
To reject all forms of political totalitarism.
To uphold the principles of a free social market economy.
