Women in curlers.

Women in house dresses.

Men in wide-armed short sleeved button up shirts.

Double knit polyester.

Not saying you're wrong, but what—if I may be so bold as to enquire—are your sources for this?

An elderly (female) neighbour amused me the other night by forcefully asserting that armpit hair on women is disgusting, and I replied that many, if not most, women now think (i.e. have been conditioned to believe) that pubic hair is equally "disgusting" and are having it removed by the brazilian method, and that even many men now are having manzilians/brozilians to be rid of the offending growth (developments with which I didn't expect her to be in full sympathy).

Sources:

Friends who get a lot of action. (My one friend's nickname for this was "hardwood floors")

My wife who tells me that women are all getting lasered down there.

My wife who tells me that our daughters friends are all having it done (late teens)

And if I were one of those guys who occasionally perused the WWW for images of comely young women sans clothing it might be noticeable too. But of course I'm not one of those pervs. Nope.

Well, one can't argue with that multigenerational survey!

Just out of curiosity, have you heard if many of these (pubic-) hairless vixens find all pubic hair so disgusting or unsexy that they are expecting/asking/demanding their male bedmates to likewise get rid of it down there? (Or is this like the clothing-snugness thing, where women are comfortable walking around in revealing yoga pants while men are only comfortable doing so in long, loose, baggy pants?)

Haven't heard anything about that. My impression as to why these girls are going hardwood floors is because they believe men expect it. Allegedly. I don't think is about what they personally think is disgusting, they just want approval and if they believe the competition's doing it, they're gonna do it. I guess it's now like shaving your legs and your armpits. Except they go for the laser meting so they don't have to do he whole razor/stubble thing.

Human females no longer having pubic/body hair will certainly make their (hairless) robot or cyborg replacements more readily acceptable to the male of the species!

The mailing lists you would sign with your actual address to get snail mail announcements from bands you liked.

The white courtesy phone in airports.

Smoking in airports (which we've covered).

Sending in with a SASE to get a free sticker of some sort. (self addressed sealed envelope)

Bobby pins.

Places to skateboard.

Chalk boards

School desks with inkwells

Typewriters (although, I hear they're making a comeback for privacy reasons)

Film strip projectors

Card catalogs

Microfilm

Cards in the back of library books (I used to look to see if I knew anyone who checked it out and popularity of book.)

Climbing and swinging on ropes.

Seriously, based on my elementary and jr. high gym classes, I thought this would be a lot more important as an adult . . .

I lost my virginity in the 70's. It wasn't until 1988 that I ever noticed I had a real problem with Bushes, and it got worse in 2000.
