They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Gotta say, as a Westerner myself, I don't know anyone who watches reality TV, never hear anyone talking about it in public, anywhere. Though I would assert on your behalf that it has made headway somewhere into our international Western consciousness, whatever that means.

I suggest that the impetus for reality TV has come from above, from the mass media, and other ptmb, for arguably nefarious purposes, much as U.S. TV programming was altered in the rural purge of 1970-71.

In effect, you are in collusion with those who are re-engineering the social fabric with all the tools at their disposal. Effectively creating the schism you seem to deplore. In this case, between West and Other.

Congratulations, Sounder.

Except that I wrote reality TV star, not reality TV. In this case, the orange one.

So, essentially i was saying; people focus on the trivial so that they can more easily avoid the substantial.

A relevant comment would relate to that (because that was the context of the rest of the post also) and not some sloppy rhetoric sourced through wishful editing.

I do welcome all comments, yet find that most often the writing says more about the author than the subject.
All these things will continue as long as coercion remains a central element of our mentality.

Sounder was my last connection to RI.

As he has been lost to cognitive dissonance, I will take my leave.

It's been real.
