Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

Do I know you from the JREF forums or DU's 9/11 dudgeon, Burnt Hill? Because I get this uncanny feeling that we have met somewhere before.

It's all so funny that the two supposedly most important witnesses of the worst mass shooting in United States history were led through a series of rehearsed softball questions and non-answers by a proven MGM stakeholder who even held up a diagram and a pointer just to make sure that they never veered from the script.

It was an especially nice touch that Ellen then declared their future radio silence for all eternity while presenting them with at least part of their well-deserved hush money. Another criminal case closed by the intrepid Ellen!

Huzzah for Ellen, and hearty snickers to anyone questioning her role in this or, for that matter, Amazon/Alexa's direct connection to the national security state. Ellen could have never even possibly acquiesced to fulfill a less than wholly savory role in covering up this tragedy given her impeccable limousine liberal and lesbian credentials!

Hopefully that's the direction this thread will take.

Considering the media mogul she is, I often feel guilty when I think she says and does nice things for what appear to be real people.

Stick, this is fantastic writing and I love all of it.
I disagree with a lot of it, and there may be something there after all, we will see.
Yes there is plenty to question in this whole situation, lets keep at it!
And yes MGM will protect it's interests at all costs.
I did do JREF for a while, years ago though....

The Ellen show is unbelievably, shamelessly materialistic. The audience is like a reverse panic. Let's call it manic. Everyone knows by going to the show they are going to get something for free. It is a perpetual flaunting of decadence set within a glowing white angelic motif. It is a vicarious lottery ticket where no one loses. Give me all the shit you must, but its purpose is to do nothing more than to increase stupidity, obedience in the name of innocent greed. Umm, dare I say, women down on their luck get sucked the fuck into it. I've seen it before with my own eyes. I have seen, yes, my own eyes, women (down on their luck) literally crawl across the floor to watch the show as though they had just tuned into Loony Toons on a Saturday morning to also catch the commercials about all the new toys and sugary foods.

The audience is comprised of nothing more than women with the occasionally (gay -- it seems) interspersed man. Thus I say it is nothing more than a reboot or an upgrade of keeping women in their place. It is kind of eugenically minded I think. Everything and anything is possible! Unlike the game shows and mid day news and shit, there are no losers. You win just by watching. The programming is so rife that when I watch it, I don't even say a thing to those I am with because it pisses them off. She's so nice. She cares so much. I never knew lesbians were so nice, normal and generous!

She is a trap. She is in the trap slot during daytime TV. She is where she should be during that time of day as far as television. She would be impossible to argue against, whether it be the show's format, her sexuality, her fake generosity -- everything is untouchable. And why would you go after that? You wouldn't. It is just a show, where Christmas is literally almost every day. For everyone.

That she got the sole televised interview with Jesus Campos is fucking nuts. That alexa/CIA thing I missed because when I could, I did not watch the show. I did however see the show where the lady won at Ellen's slot machine at MGM Grand (cameras rolling), I think it was one or two days after the massacre, the winner just so happened to be a nurse at a Vegas hospital. She had been called to the Ellen show before any of it happened and was thus out of town but her phone blew up with tons of texts and shit saying "man you're lucky. Everyone got called in. We didn't know what it was for." All medical personnel in the Las Vegas metro area, by the sounds of it, had been called in forthwith, except for the winner of the Ellen slot machine who had been flown to LA for the show so she could be reunited with her husband and son who either went to work and went to school far away. All of which was a surprise to the woman/guest/Vegas nurse. They then commenced playing endearing family games.

I didn't think jack shit of it at the time. Just, wow, what a coincidence.

Okay. Now why have I been watching so much Ellen? It was not up to me.
There is no me. There is no you. There is all. There is no you. There is no me. And that is all. A profound acceptance of an enormous pageantry. A haunting certainty that the unifying principle of this universe is love. -- Propagandhi

I have never watched the Ellen Show except some internet clips in passing and have scant to base a mildly favorable impression of her celebrity.

I probably have no business commenting on Ellen except to say that I had no idea of her involvement in commercial gambling (neither do I pay attention to gambling). I conclude from what I read at RI that Ellen has some sort of celebrity endorsement deal (that seems somehow different from her general aura).

Celebrities as politicians is an ever growing phenomena.

Reagan?

I would probably support and vote for Al Franken should he run for POTUS as Democratic candidate in 2020.

Ellen as first woman POTUS? Maybe not that farfetched.

Fnar, fnar. Funn-ee!

Here are your disingenuous and obsequiously backtracking responses to posters who noticed how stupid that OP is:

I had exactly the same horrible thought myself. She ticks all the boxes:

Ruthless ✓

Sanctimonious ✓

neoLiberal ✓

Shameless exploiter of clueless TV addicts ✓

Knows how to work a crowd. ✓

And of course she has spent a lifetime cultivating friends in very high places (places even more exalted than MGM casinos). ✓✓✓

You forgot to include Betty in your subject line! You know Betty White - that 95 year old showbiz veteran, aka CIA-controlled Manchurian Grandma? Look at the name of her game --- Tall Tales!!1111!!!

Her game and Ellen's have been nationwide for awhile. I've played them both and they suck. Betty, I give a pass because she's pretty old and still kickin ass. Ellen has definitely become a materialistic monster, no different than the 1 percenters. And who buys a comedian's line of home products at BB&B, especially ones that are ugly, cheap junk made in China?
