Certainly this wont stop, and your a fool if you think it will. I read earlier today, that the national guard had deadly force plans, to 'shoot to kill' water protectors at Standing Rock.

Unless you have a water well on your own property AND the means to power the pump it's already all over. Most water supplies are already governed and managed by the state or local municipalities. Few farms even have working windmills any longer. I have a few buddies that own rural property that have water wells. They know how to keep the pump working, and it doesn't take much power for a small 110v pump pulling 10 amps.

It's also extra satisfying turning on your sprinklers when all your neighbors are on municipal water restrictions.

That said I'd rather have the water supply in the hands of the municipal job assistance program (aka town hall) than some hedgefund fuckers looking to make a quick buck. Or make it a local co-op where everyone connected gets an equal non-transferable share. Some things shouldn't be for profit.
