Boeing & Suddenly Expiring Whistleblowers

.
Breadcrumbs.

This is the 2nd whistleblower to perish within a short timeframe.
Interesting, too, the apparent cause(s). Targeted illness, eh?

Yet another Boeing whistleblower has died.

“Dean became ill and went to the hospital because he was having trouble breathing just over two weeks ago. He was intubated and developed pneumonia and then a serious bacterial infection, MRSA.”

“He was 45, had been in good health and was noted for having a healthy lifestyle.”

Dean wouldn’t shut up about the defects he was finding and his persistence ended with being rewarded by being fired. In less than 6 months, Dean, 45, dies suddenly from a mysterious illness/bacterial infection.

I’m sure this is just yet another unfortunate highly statistically improbable coincidence.

It’s a real shame because now this guy can no longer expose the manufacturing defects on the 737 MAX.

The suspicious deaths of two Boeing whistleblowers have raised serious concerns about the safety culture at Boeing and the lengths to which powerful entities may go to suppress the #truth. John Barnett, a former quality manager at #Boeing, was found dead in March 2024 under #suspicious circumstances. He had been a vocal critic of Boeing's safety practices and had raised concerns about the company's production standards. Just weeks after Barnett's death, another Boeing #Whistleblower, Josh Dean, also has died. Both whistleblowers were represented by the same law firm. The law firm has emphasized the bravery of both whistleblowers and has urged a thorough #investigation into the circumstances surrounding their deaths. These tragic events have highlighted the risks faced by whistleblowers who dare to speak out against powerful #corporations and have underscored the need for stronger protections for whistleblowers and a better system for ensuring transparency and accountability in the industry.

The first guy even told a friend that if he died it wasn't suicide. He then promptly shot himself.

Poor fucking Boeing...try not to shed a tear.
Boeing suffers further blow ahead of results as satellite explodes in space

The latest incident comes as Boeing awaits the results of vote by striking workers and is expected to report a big loss in results for its third quarter.

Beleaguered Boeing is facing another dent in its reputation following the breaking up in orbit of a communications satellite it designed and built.

Satellite operator Intelsat confirmed the "total loss" of iS-33e, kept in orbit to provide telecoms, broadcasting and other services to customers in Europe, Africa and parts of the Asia-Pacific region.

Intelsat said in a statement: "We are coordinating with the satellite manufacturer, Boeing, and government agencies to analyse data and observations," adding it was undertaking "a comprehensive analysis" of the incident.

They are chalking it up to an "anomaly" - never heard the justice of a righteous god called an anomaly...
Siriusly tho, does anybody know how true this is:
Geostationary satellites are ~40,000km away. They remain in a fixed position relative to the rotation of the Earth. There's practically no chance they can collide with anything unlike low or mid earth orbit satellites.

That is correct. They are very far away and well separated. They have thrusters to maintain their position. EOL is when they run out of fuel.
Without traversing the edges, the center is unknowable.

I see. Someone mentioned fuel explosion as a possibility and although there is a lot of "mysterious cause" verbiage on news stories, I imagine they are just not assigning a reason until they can investigate it - they are now dealing with the debris problem. Anyhow, it isn't that novel:
The satellite, which weighed 14,600 pounds (6,600 kilograms) and was roughly the size of a limo, was designed and manufactured by Boeing and launched into orbit in 2016. It was the second satellite to be sent to space as part of Boeing's "next generation" EpicNG platform. The first satellite, called IS-29e, also failed after spending several years in space — with a fuel leak made by a micrometeoroid strike or a solar storm being the likely cause.

These failures drastically undercut the expected lifespan of the satellites, which was previously estimated to be 15 years.

"solar storm" - Indeed, sunspots have been popping off lately but they don't want to talk about how much damage a solar storm could actually cause, especially in combination with the weakening magnetic field of the earth.

Hold on!
Kathleen Tyson
@Kathleen_Tyson_
Agree the quiet around the Intelsat 33e Boeing satellite blowing up 40,000km above Earth points to something being suppressed. The debris spread at a velocity in excess of 500m per second (see debris field below).
***
Intelsat 33e was centred above West Asia, hosted US Department of Defense operations, so exploding it might prevent DoD pursuing a wider war in the region.

Boeing manufactured IntelSat 33e, a 6600kg GEO satellite above Europe, exploded into 20 pieces yesterday. US Dept of Defence said China, Russia and USA have deployed DEW, Directed Energy Weapons in space. While I don't believe IntelSat 33e was attacked, the timing is interesting. Poor Boeing.
