its not often i agree with your marmot, but today i do,

a grande gesture, references to a golden age,
and a few back-handed slaps on the way out ... petulance

i've been posting here for longer than et in arc, not that that means anything,
but i have seen many ebbs and flows on this board,

i am old enough to know that golden ages are illusions,

a lot of people experienced personal epiphanies in the wake of 9/11,
a lot of the older posters had been on that trip for a long time,
those epiphanies and paths crossed with the internet and if felt good for a lot of people,
that hasnt changed

looking for some external source of blame when the personal thrill is gone contributes nothing of value

why not just ease it back a bit, and throw in good stories or links when the mood suits

personally i think the almost complete withdrawal of the host has contributed a lot of the changed mood lately, something that i have felt a bit dissapointed by, but i dont know the ins and outs of that so i have to deal with it without moaning ...

make the place good with your contributions and respect people,

and ignore those that snipe from the sides and they will fade away

(written with respect and heartfelt feeling to all those here, especially jeff, that have made this place such a massive part of my education and life journey - and i aint going nowhere anytime soon)

I don't know if there was a golden age of RI. If anything is Golden it's in the early Blogs of Jeff's. Some of them were eye opening, some of them were informative, and some of them "high weirdness" that kept with you after you closed the laptop and sat there with thoughts going through your head that you never imagined you'd have.

This place indeed used to be very imformative. I'm sure it still is but you have to dig a little more to get to the nuggets. I spent hours and hours reading through the links and following the multitude of yellow brick roads that I found. Discovering aspects of Consipracies I never knew, exposed to MC, SRA(as in informative way) and other truly disturbing corners of Human Beahviour in our society, UFO's, Skinwalker Ranch's and countless other phenomena.

RI helped me sift through the bullshit and get to the heart of my own truth in this world full of shadows. I can see how easy it is to get lost. I remember DE from years ago and he was a far cry from the person he ended up becoming from falling down a rabbitt hole. It could of been any of us. If you think your too smart then you will most likely be next.

I say again as I have in other threads. Don't let this place consume you or stay with you. Use the information you find here to relate to your own expierence and to help you find whatever truth your looking for. Remember that truth is all based upon the person percieving it. It's not black and white it's mostly grey with the color of the universe so often illuminating your reality and making your sense perk up and say....now what the fuck is that?
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist

Indeed. Seems ever since Jeff announced his book, this place (blog included) no longer matters to him. Of course, that just my assumption and he may be just taking some much needed recoop time, but before his book tour he would at least pop in to the board every once in a while...

He came a long way, baby, on his logical path from Chemtrail Central moderator to chemtrail theory basher.

Hasn't he left several times before in a huff of drama, only to return like a bad penny?

On edit: I'm proud to say one of his first posts was in a thread I started. I didn't realize I've been here that long! geeze...maybe it's time for me to leave in a huff.

if i see you back here again--submerging--mr. ego, i'm gonna call you on it.

My thoughts exactly, marmot.

Oh, come on, people, Jeff has provided this board for our benefit, not his. He has no obligation to participate here, especially since he has taken the TD thing so personally, and I can't help but to think that some people have taken advantage, eiher here or at the comment section of the blog. You act like he owes you something. He doesn't. Cut him some slack.

just a thought:

To suggest that rigint seems to 'no longer matter' to Jeff would be overlooking the fact that our host is a married man with children whose bill-paying gig recently went under. His loss of work is only one thing that he has personally shared with us. Like any one of us, he only has so much discretionary time. Providing for a family is certainly higher on his priority list than entertaining us.

on edit: I just saw chigger's cross post. What She Said.

Adios, eiAe.

Really glad to have (sort of) met you.

Having a relationship with this board can be like a rocky marriage-
too many differing perspectives, priorities, and vocabulary peppered with flashes of both compassion and combat.

We primates weren't designed for this place at all.

are you in a box seat chiggerbit, and were down in the stands

Oh, come on, people ... some people have taken advantage ... You act like he owes you something ... He doesn't.

you lot down there, how dare you be so impertinent ...

i personally noted a gradual change in mood at the forum - which jeff provided for his and our mutual benefit and everyone appreciates - coinciding with jeffs apparent withdrawal and i noted my disappointment,

i certainly dont feel he owes me anything, quite the contrary

is it a taboo to even ask the question?

Perhaps you'd care to show more specifics about how Jeff was responsible for this change, smiths, and maybe not someone like, say for instance DE, or et in Arcadia ego, or et in Arcadia ego Eve?? Could not the change have comne from others? Or just from the forum aging?

which jeff provided for his and our mutual benefit and everyone appreciates

Show me how Jeff benefited, just once, That's all, just once that he couldn't have accomplished from his blog?

is it a taboo to even ask the question?

No. Is it taboo for Jeff not to answer?

What's a TD?

Uh, yes I asked that seriously, why would I ask it un-seriously?
I have no idea what your use of 'TD' means, am I suppose too? Sorry.
