Who were the nine who voted FOR torture?

Postby banned » Thu Oct 06, 2005 11:05 pm

I've been trying all day to find the roll of votes to see which morons need to be tied up and poked in the arse with cattle prods and needles stuck in their eyes and the soles of their feet beaten till they can't walk for a year, since they think it's such a jolly good idea.

I listened to a couple of them on NPR today; a gentleman from Alaska was saying that we need to treat them the same way they treat us.

John McCain, who spent five tortuous years as a PWO, understands better that it sets US servicemen and women up to be tortured as well; spoke of how "our people" were told to get intelligence but not given limits how to do it. "Then they are blamed... and punished," he continued.

It's expected to be vetoed if it makes it through the House reconciliation process. --MaryK

I'll add them to my list.

"What list?" you say?

Well the list of people that someday we will democratically decide to hamstring, castrate, lobotomize, peel, salt, burn, and maybe, eventually hang.

For violation of international law and TREASON. (any ratified international treaties become de facto law under our system, any attept to violate these treaties or manuever them could easily be construed as treason)

Which means any one of us, could, theoretically, form a lynch mob and hang all these bastards(indeed it is not only permissible, but our patriotic duty).

We should keep this in mind at all times.
So should they.

dems vs. repukes

Postby manxkat » Sat Oct 08, 2005 2:03 pm

See, the thing is, people keep talking about how there really isn't any difference between Democrats and Repugnicans -- how, if John Kerry had won the election (or been installed), things really wouldn't be that different. Somehow, votes like this one on torture, seem to remind us that there are levels of evil and wrongdoing.... it's not just black and white.

While I have plenty of angry things to say about lots of Democrats, including John Kerry, the Repugnicans take the cake when it comes to low-life scum.

house repukes vs. senate repukes

Postby manxkat » Sat Oct 08, 2005 2:09 pm

P.S. There's also a distinction between House Repugnicans and Senate Repugnicans:

House GOP Supports Torture

Quote:
Leading House Republicans signaled Friday that they will try to weaken a Senate effort to limit interrogation techniques that U.S. service members can use on terrorism suspects.

Their remarks made clear that the language in the Senate-passed military spending bill faces uncertain prospects in bargaining between the Senate and House.

Edited by: manxkat at: 10/8/05 12:09 pm
