No, no, no, honey. I totally forbid you to harbor grudges against the motherfuckers. I don't. I mean, they did sort of cause me some very real pain and also some even realer extreme and incapacitating fear once or twice, I can't pretend otherwise. But only sort of. Because in all of those really not very many instances, I was either a witting participant in or intentionally left myself open to said harassment. For personal reasons, none of which I regret.

Apart from that -- and as a matter of fact, even including that -- I'm actually very grateful to them. Plus quite fond of some of them. And there are few that I actually very much wish I could tip my hat to without risking who-knows-what-the-fuck-kind-of-counterpunch-getting-thrown-against-whom. Because they got real talent and their work makes me happy on that level. Which is truly a home level, as far as I'm concerned.

I mean, true, I have absolutely no idea why they choose to use it as they do. But first of all, their talents and choices are theirs, not mine. So it's not really any of my business.

And second of all, even though I don't understand what makes those motherfuckers run at all -- and this goes for the exceptionally gifted and the at-least-not-perceptibly-so alike -- I'm very close to totally sure that if I did, I'd be sympathetic to them. Because in my view, all people -- or as the case may be, trolls and/or sock-puppets -- are presumed sympathetic until proven otherwise. That's not, like, a principle on which I'm taking a stand, or anything. It's just my actual view of people. It always has been.



Furthermore, since I have yet to meet a person whom I did understand who could be proven otherwise, the odds overwhelmingly suggest that it's not so much that those motherfuckers are motherfuckers as it is that I failed to understand them.

Either way, I insist that/implore you not to resent anyone on my behalf.

I mean, it feels bad to be the object of scorn or violent anger or whatever, regardless, obviously. But unless you know how the person you're scorning responds to being made to feel bad and are in a position to manipulate that response for maximum mindfuckery, you're almost certainly just wasting your time and energy even trying.***

And that's at best. Because if you also don't know what cards that person is holding -- or, generally, what kind and volume of blowback he or she might be capable of sending your way -- it's reckless, too.

That's not a threat, and not intended to read as one. I probably could do some harm if I wanted to. I feel compelled to say out of honest pride. But I don't want to. I never do, never have, and never will.
