c2w?, if you've left, then that makes today (my learning of the possibility you're gone) the saddest I've known on RI.

Please let it not be so.

Why?

Ah now, hush that fuss. :)

Honestly, not for any very dramatic or interesting reason. More on this in a bit.

It seemed like the most considerate thing to do at the time, I swear. But how could I not respond to such a sweetly phrased request? Let's have a couple of days of going away party. I'll start a thread for it in a minute. Okay?

Okay. Be right back.

No, no, no, honey. I totally forbid you to harbor grudges against the motherfuckers. I don't. I mean, they did sort of cause me some very real pain and also some even realer extreme and incapacitating fear once or twice, I can't pretend otherwise. But only sort of. Because in all of those really not very many instances, I was either a witting participant in or intentionally left myself open to said harassment. For personal reasons, none of which I regret.

Apart from that -- and as a matter of fact, even including that -- I'm actually very grateful to them. Plus quite fond of some of them. And there are few that I actually very much wish I could tip my hat to without risking who-knows-what-the-fuck-kind-of-counterpunch-getting-thrown-against-whom. Because they got real talent and their work makes me happy on that level. Which is truly a home level, as far as I'm concerned.

I mean, true, I have absolutely no idea why they choose to use it as they do. But first of all, their talents and choices are theirs, not mine. So it's not really any of my business.

And second of all, even though I don't understand what makes those motherfuckers run at all -- and this goes for the exceptionally gifted and the at-least-not-perceptibly-so alike -- I'm very close to totally sure that if I did, I'd be sympathetic to them. Because in my view, all people -- or as the case may be, trolls and/or sock-puppets -- are presumed sympathetic until proven otherwise. That's not, like, a principle on which I'm taking a stand, or anything. It's just my actual view of people. It always has been.

Image

Furthermore, since I have yet to meet a person whom I did understand who could be proven otherwise, the odds overwhelmingly suggest that it's not so much that those motherfuckers are motherfuckers as it is that I failed to understand them.

Either way, I insist that/implore you not to resent anyone on my behalf.

I love it that you do, though. Thanks.

Back again in a second.

Plus what about all the people who hate me? Because they have feelings too, you know. Did it ever occur to you to think about how very happy it's bound to make them not to read my voice?

Try thinking a little more about others, that's my advice. :P
I saw some of it. Anyone gather up the cites systematically anywhere?
Please see previous post, and cut it out.

Also, honestly:

It wasn't no thing. Because it's really just pure lunacy to try to seriously fuck with the minds of people you don't know. It doesn't work.

I mean, it feels bad to be the object of scorn or violent anger or whatever, regardless, obviously. But unless you know how the person you're scorning responds to being made to feel bad and are in a position to manipulate that response for maximum mindfuckery, you're almost certainly just wasting your time and energy even trying.***

And that's at best. Because if you also don't know what cards that person is holding -- or, generally, what kind and volume of blowback he or she might be capable of sending your way -- it's reckless, too.

That's not a threat, and not intended to read as one. I probably could do some harm if I wanted to. I feel compelled to say out of honest pride. But I don't want to. I never do, never have, and never will.

I'm hitchin' a ride on your fabulous picture, btw. So thanks!

Move to acceptance for me, please, please, please. I'd be indebted to you for it.

But, you know, same principle. You need both more direct control and more intimate knowledge of the minds it is your objective to fuck with than it's possible to attain when the people they belong to control their own schedules, environments, et cetera.

Fuck. I got started late. I'm starting a party thread anyway, though. We'll just have to have all tomorrow's parties at it, I guess.

Come on. Follow me to the link to follow shortly.

I totally LOVE that song, btw. And I'd never even heard of them before. Thank you so much.

Also quick place-holding love to Laodicean, Allegro, Cosmic Cowbell and Nathan28. I'll come back and love you all some more later, all right?

See you here tomorrow maybe?

I know the meaning of the thread title is stretched a bit by adding this duet, but, after all, music is the art, and these characters are love birds. In the first video, Papagena, the female, sports the bird hat at the end of the scene; in another version of the same scene, both singers wear bird costumes throughout the piece.
