Since we were speaking of interesing screen names, I'm sure yours, Oplan, means something entirely different to yourself, hence you chose it as I chose Floyd Smoots (the conductor on the Hooterville Cannonball, a short-line R.R. from Pixley to Hooterville in the Petticoat Junction and spin off TV show, Green Acres). After many months of using it, I usually don't give my screen name a lot of thought. Ofttimes, I think it was foolishly chosen, but, if I changed it again, I would become, on this board an outed spy, or a troll. I did change it once, on a firepitted thread, from Saint Alex the Foolish to Floyd, but I did it in public on the thread. What is my long-winded point?

Simply this, in the thrust of this thread: Words have power and meaning to all societies who have any form of writing at all. All who dabble, study, or participate in the occult, if they're honest about it know the terrible power of words and names. I believe that we can, possibly all agree on this point.

When I was a U.S. Navy radioman from 1969-1973, the words "Op Plan" always meant a plan of action for some sort of military operation, either overt or covert. When I "see" Oplan, again for whatever reason you chose it, it sets off alarm bells. Perhaps they are truly false alarms, but from where I sit currently, I have no way of discerning which kind of alarm I'm hearing.

H.M.W., I believe was really trying to say, "Hey, Oplan, nice, well-placed shot. You got old Floyd in the back quite neatly and accurately. Sorry to report that it didn't hurt me a bit. My fingers didn't even twitch towards the holster of my e-flame weapon. It might have hurt God's feelings.

If it did, He won't hold it against me. If He doesn't exist, it matters not at all then. However, if he does exist, that little bb pellet you fired is surely not going to make Him die, or even consider Deicide, a God-type of human suicide.

I believe most folk here, lurkers, readers, posters, members, and non-members rigorously intuited that I was referring to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Besides, Oplan, the hick towns you mention were destroyed by "fire and brimstone" which, I, and others take to be a horribly destructive meteor shower.

Now, why did God Almighty send all those folk "to the showers" before the "game" was over? Here's a real surprise. I suspect a clue, but I really don't know for sure "why" He did it. If there really is a Heaven, then when I get there I'll ask Him for you. BTW, if He deigns to give me a personal answer, just where might I forward said answer to you?

But straight to your post. First, you misspelled the G-word town, and no, I'm not going to correct it for you here. If you care at all, go look it up. Secondly, and probably lastly for the nonce, just suppose, for discussion's sake, that there exist fallen-angel demons who are masquerading as ('aliens' posing as God to control/impress a primitive human population). I merely posit that even that is possible given all the High Wierdness about which Jeff has posted.

Respectfully posted,
Alexander Mutter

added on edit: Nice twist on my last thought, though. Floyd de Klown is dissin' the government, let's dis' God, laugh about it and see if we can't provoke a rant. Sorry, Oplan, I just have no Op Plan of my own, to become erstwise distracted. However, point given, as you did prove my assertion about words having power. And, isn't that just what this thread is all about?

Edited by: Floyd Smoots at: 3/3/06 6:52 pm
