ImageI'm always fascinated with the shape and intelligence of nautiluses. The Cephalopoda today are born into legacies spanning 500 million years, give or take a few eons. But, do nautiluses tango? :partyhat

And, there are ...

OK I'm being really stingy about this
<sounding like three yr old going "Do I haff to??">

Imagine a site that has stunning fiction and tech speculations. Imagine that Phillip K Dick was running his own place on the web under another name. Imagine stories ranging from the (feasible) high tech civilisations in pre-history to a space duel between a human explorer couple and an Ultra Intelligent Machine. A site that will make you miss meals, stay up nights and change the way you think about starfish... forever!

The first time I watched that video^^ Nature by Numbers my jaw dropped. I’ve watched it now half-a-dozen times, Cosmic Cowbell. Thank you! What you didn’t know, and I wouldn’t be surprised that maybe you did…

ImageGive me numbers, triangles and circles, or anything with rounded edges, then put them into architecture as geodesic domes, and you’ll see me fascinated like a man into his man cave kind of thing.

ImageThere are many web sites, but Simply Differently notes some simple history and math; The Spline displays automated design of geodesic domes; and, the retail angle of it all is seen at Natural Spaces Domes.

Noted: the old Bösendorfer would be placed somewhere close to the middle of the room; not placed near an outside wall, for goodness sakes.

This site of map puzzles has helped me sharpen my knowledge of the global political map. Fun, too. If you're already a geography wiz, you might know a child who'd benefit.

Nowadays I rarely visit, however Beetleboy's Quest, begun while tending his flock of Giant Roly-polies always seems to lighten my day. Dr. Fingo-Ho's bio-alchemic experiments fascinate. And the Natural Wonders of the Known World... well, seeing is believing.
