No problem proldic. As you said, the "widely-held" opinion of her in books and on the internet seems to be that she was responsible for all kinds of stuff and was CIA, DEA, or what-have-you. But of course, just because an opinion is widely held doesn't necessarily mean it's true. I got tired of trying to cut through all the poor research and speculation out there, since so many of the stuff was based on second and third hand sources. She's very approachable, so it seemed like it would be valuable from all fronts to create a new first-person historical source with her where I openly addressed some of these issues and gave her a chance to respond. Everybody's welcome to come to their own conclusions, of course.

I think she makes a great point about the author of "Acid Dreams" in that the guy spent a lot of time writing about her, denigrating her character etc, without ever talking to her. What kind of research is that? It only took me a few hours work in total to communicate with her directly, and I plan on doing a lot more interviews and direct communication like this (definitely inspired by some of the interviews Jeff Wells has done). It seems like it's something that's very lacking in alternative history/conspiracy theory research right now.
