I think what I’m trying to say there BPH is that if we worked under the conceit of reality/nature being on a continuum rather than being split, then we would be better situated to integrate our different layers of psyche.

Evidence of my five years of trying to promote this idea indicates that either the idea is meaningless or there is some systemic reason for not wanting to entertain the idea.

My supposition is that we ‘know’ that if we integrated our psyches we would no longer have rationales for supporting the turning of our opinions into facts. Our lies would be exposed to ourselves, the most damning witness.

Not sure it's about "not wanting to," rather a systemic inability to remain persistently aware of an insight we may already believe with all of our hearts.

I wholeheartedly believe the guy in the car next to me is an expression of the divine essence, but I still may mutter something under my breath when he cuts me off.

It seems odd to think of an inability to be aware of something that ‘we may already believe with all of our hearts’.

At any rate, folk accept the continuum over the split model easily enough at an intellectual or conscious level, but their unconscious drivers remain fully formed under the program of the split reality model. Indeed this situation shows, yet again, the lack of integration between conscious and unconscious portions of our psyches.

One is welcome to claim this as an aspect of ones conscious model, but what you ‘really’ believe comes out when the chips are falling.

We have collectively been trained for centuries to accept the assumption, now turned into an unconscious driver, which sees reality as being split and having no causal relations in the liminal space between the manifest and the pre-manifest. (That is why it seems OK to curse that driver even though you know he is an expression of the divine.)

Really? Because Christians the world over (for just one example) "believe" that the Virgin Birth actually happened "with all their hearts" (they celebrate it every Christmas, many of them recite it in their creeds each Sunday) but are unable to "remain persistently aware of" it.

Not being able to "remain persistently aware of" something (or even a number of things) "we already believe with all of our hearts" doesn't seem "odd" to me, at all. What might seem a little odd, is if we could.
