So here we are around Christmas time… based on the same ol’ yule tide lie; the Christmas Tale originating from astrological observations and not the birth of Baby Jesus. I’m glad the days are longer again, but we should probably be somewhat ashamed for repeatedly lying to our li’l kids - continuing the story of the second coming of some cuddly olde character called Santa Claus… (inspired by St. Nicholas, or some kind of clause?)… his industrious elves… Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer… et cetera; encouraging citizens to cut down trees, instead of planting, to decorate with glistening ornaments for our make-shift shrine to mainstream societies’ sordid deception.

What sort of message does this send to our offspring?

Nevertheless, the kids are excited and I’d have to be crazy to shatter their illusions by disappointing such expectations.

So,

anyway!

Love finds a way. Peace on Earth, good will to all. Happy Holidays. Blessed be the peacemakers. To this ragged crew, love and be loved, all else is folly.

The bell like tones are fitting for Christmas morning.

Yes, thank you Grizzly for adding Mckennitt. Speaking of her, bell tones and Christmas, one of my favorite songs (it’s inspired some tiny pieces I’m working on) sung a cappella w/distant bell sounding and birdsong.

fwiw, track listing from her excellent first album. (‘Lullaby’ is William Blake's powerful poem Prologue..., put to music.)
