Jeff -Enjoy. My pleasure. I've mined YouTube for just about every Nick Cave nugget I could find. It they come up with anything new, I'll add it here.
As for "Into My Arms" I've heard it described as the most 'beautifully realized' piece of music Nick'd ever done. After the release of "The Boatman's Call," which features "Into My Arms," Cave said he didn't know where to take The Bad Seeds from there. That's how much the CD took out of him. I think he views that record as among his best writing. He was surprised and pleased that a 2004 Salan interviewer held that opinon. (See Salon, 11-18-04: "The resurrection of Nick Cave"

I'm partial to so many, depending on the period/context. For instance, 15ft of Pure White Snow is the best metaphor for isolation I've EVER heard. The video is flat-out insane. (Oh my lord!) I love the Abbatoir Blues/Lyre of Orpheus double CD - it gets better with every listen. Very different sound from what I'm used to with Cave. I'm going to buy the B sides and Rarities as a Yule present to myself. Important for collectors, now The Bad Seeds are over.
Now, Nick is doing the Grinderman project, a group he calls, "Foul-mouthed, noisy, hairy, and damn well old enough to know better." Grinderman features Cave, along with Dirty Three founder Warren Ellis, Ex-Triffids member Martyn Casey and Cramps drummer Jim Scalvunos. Their first release will be a song called "No Pussy Blues." Look for a CD release around March 07. Listen at the 'No Pussy Blues' at the group's Myspace site:

FYI: I forgot who sent the Blogmusick link to 'cool sites' thread, but it's a virtual I-Pod. You just have to sign up to create your own music lists. If you do a search for Nick Cave, you can come up with his duet with Johnny Cash, "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry". Don't have a direct link - it's worth the search, tho.

Hey, K -- You're most welcome! Dunno how you'll get any work done, either.
