Book Recommendation?

Does anyone know any good books dealing with lost civilizations, on earth or in space? What I mean is, basically the material of either Graham Hancock or Richard Hoagland in fictional form. I can't get enough of that stuff (in Hoagland's case, I mean the premise of a civilization on Mars (or throughout the solar system), not the specific (silly) examples of funny-looking rocks).

There is "The Thiaoouba Prophecy" from Michel Desmarquet, which is one of my favourite contact experiences.

The Tomorrow of Yesterday by Margery Lawrence was a fascinating read.

Not sure if this is a perfect match, but Jack McDevitt's books usually revolve around humans exploring the galaxy and coming across old "stuff" and the occasional alien. Lots of scientists and archeologists in space; very Clarke-ish.

Joseph Farrell's Cosmic War, Giza Death Star trilogy, and Genes, Giants, Monsters, and Men (a Feral House publication) are worth a look.

Interesting, thanks. I haven't read anything from Farrell in a while. I don't know what to make of him, he seems a little unhinged when I hear him on Coast to Coast. If the kindle version of those books is a reasonable price I might take a look.
