How does adding a female voice make RI more transparent?

And, I'll admit that I don't have a clue re. which posters are female and which are male.

A moniker is only moniker, and an avatar is only an avatar.

Neither of them is an accurate indicator of gender.

Nor should they be.

I met a girl, once, whose name was Jack. And I'm sure that some fish with teeth are female too.

Which means I rarely assume gender for anyone here.

But then again, a poster's gender is of no interest to me.

Why? Ideas should stand or fall on their own merits, not on the gender of the poster or mod.

I meant, that for the sake of transparency, I'll tell everyone we think RI needs a female moderator.

Of course. But moderators deal in personalities, not ideas.

Well, I don't know if she would even want the job, but I'm pretty sure she'd be good at it: Project Willow.

Thanks for the clarification.

I hope that the future moderator won't deal with personalities, however.

Responding to actions, and not the actors, is a lot more constructive, IMO.

Not just in the world of of moderating too.

Actions have consequences for the actors, is all I'll say to that.

Come on guys, are we really going to do this gender equality bullshit?

I mean, I'm grateful to be a dick-bearer, don't get me wrong, but there's no other way to call it: women are inherently and transparently superior to men.

That is very kind of you to say, Simulist.

I'm a bit of a scold on the board already, especially when it comes to ra/mc. Then there are portions of the membership who have varying levels of belief in ra/mc and that could lead to contention.

Plus, barracuda and I don't get along at all, we fight like cats and dogs, and I know for a fact he hates me. :P (How ya doin' there old fish?)

If I may make the suggestion, however, I think discretion is very important in a moderator.

Seconded, heartily. :guitarbanana:

I could spend the rest of the day listing reasons why that will never happen, §ê¢rꆧ, some of which I wouldn't openly admit to.

Some minor things, like sentence structure, and still not knowing where to put the commas, for a start.

Then the major issues, such as, the inability to sit on my hands while the mind-numbing shenanigans go on and on and on . . . and on and on and on and on.

I'd be like . . .

"You're outta here, DreamsEnd." > Boom.

"You're outta here, TKL." > Boom.

"Get Lost, DooDad." > Zap.

"Good-bye, Breezy." (oops, s/he's still here. nvm.)

Then there was Dragon. I mean, wtf.

I also have a difficult time dealing with the way the issue of 9/11 is handled by Jeff & Co.

Oh, and chemtrails, for that matter.

What?

Ever hear of Layer Tennis? I'll order you one of those drinks you had the other day. I can't buy it though, I think you have to have paid for it in advance.

Oh, I dunno, you seem the type of lady that would do just fine & hold your own. Anything I've seen you post seemed quite reasonable to me.

heh, that would make for some colorful moderating on the board!
