If you have intentions of implementing draconian measures of martial law in the not too distant future, you would want your controlled population to be as disarmed as possible beforehand.
You don't have to remove anyone's weapons, if they're more than willing to strip themselves of their weaponry first.
After all, guns kills cops. So to protect our enforcers, we need to remove as many guns from our streets as we can.
Then martial law will be a piece of cake.

During the past two and a half decades, has there ever been a moment when a subset of conspiracy theorists and fringe thinkers were not telling us 1) "they" want to disarm the American people and 2) martial law is right around the corner.

I mentioned earlier that I believed the phony 911 calls allowed the perp(s) to get away. I called it "chaff". Well now, we have the chaff of the chaff perhaps. (Again, RIP, this is very horrible and my heart goes out to all)

PARKLAND, Wash. -- Family members of the man wanted in connection with the slayings of four Lakewood police officers may be helping the fugitive hide from law enforcement, sources told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reporter Kevin McCarty.
The sources said they suspect Maurice Clemmons' friends and family are trying to throw investigators off his trail as the 37-year-old tries to avoid capture.
Ever since Clemmons was named as a suspect in the fatal shooting of the Lakewood officers, police agencies have been inundated with calls and tips. Detectives said they now believe some false leads came from people trying to buy Clemmons time by keep search teams busy.
Police sources said evidence found at the scene of the home in Seattle where police thought Clemmons was holed up indicates he was still bleeding badly when he arrived there.
Officers were told he was still hiding in the house, but when police arrived, Clemmons was long gone.
Near the area where Clemmons' truck was found in Parkland, searchers looked for any clues left behind, including a blood trail.
Search and rescue team volunteers went door to door, looking through trash cans and in bushes for any possible evidence.

Clemmons owned a pressure washing business as well. That's better than I can say of myself. Link to photo of his business license.

Can't include a link to the source now ('cause I'm making dinner for my princess), but I do recall reading something to that effect.

And they're right to a degree, it's just been an extremely slow warm up to simmer. We're not quite to boil, but for each subtle change we tolerate, such as armed guards in the airports, we're getting closer. It couldn't be done any other way.lightningBugout wrote:During the past two and a half decades, has there ever been a moment when a subset of conspiracy theorists and fringe thinkers were not telling us 1) "they" want to disarm the American people and 2) martial law is right around the corner.
Have not you, yourself, lived under a form of martial law most of your life? It's just a bit more sophisticated. To suspect that another kind of martial law of the mind is coming for the rest of the citizenry is not unreasonable.

As I alluded to earlier, the implementation of populace control has been effected in a drip-by-drip manner. To escape detection by those who are inclined, or maybe even psychologically constrained, to see control come only in the form of a flood.

I just read this guy had been "recently" allowed to leave jail for punching a cop in the face, raping a kid, and forcing a family to strip naked at gunpoint.
Anyone remember larry singleton? The guy raped then hacked off the arms of his victim, and left her for dead in a ditch(before someone at the last minute rescued her)
For some reason the state was really adamant about giving him a second chance after only 8 years, despite ALL the evidence he was even more psychotic...they quietly released him in a Florida suburb where he ended up not only killing a prostitute, but a whole family.
It's...almost like that powers that be *intentionally* let loose killers to keep the public in a state of fear.

I don't think that's how American fascism works. Given that its fundamentally a mind control towards economic consumption scheme, I think its already here, has been for a long time and will continue to operate within exactly the basic parameter it always has - the illusion that we are freely choosing to consume and mold ourselves into the space on our couch created when the flatscreen TV shines just so.Willow wrote:And they're right to a degree, it's just been an extremely slow warm up to simmer. I don't think we are slowly inching towards a police state and martial law and most definitely not towards the abolition of the 2nd amendment. Quite the opposite. It is the illusion of freedom that keeps the population stupid and mean.
I'd go so far as to say a big part of the boom in conspiracy theory, particularly the NWO/martial law variety is due to a series of small boom industry empires. What is Alex Jones if not a used-idea salesmen?
Yes with the privatization of defense contracting and the prison system, we have seen (and will continue to see) some things that are reminiscent of jackboot thuggery fascism. But American fascism is entrenched as something other to that. It will never look like that here, but it already is much worse in many regards.
In my experience the folks who fear their guns being taken away by the feds are not generally hip to the psychic warfare within which we already live. Their ideal, and I am generalizing, is one of the constant threat of encroachment. They fear the feds and "government," one world or otherwise, and never seem, IMHO, to talk much about the fascist corporate state already here.
We've just witnessed a "popular" movement instigated by a media conglomerate in which people have taken to the streets and public meetings to basically ensure that the government won't give them health care. Sure you can make some very valid points against Obamacare, but they weren't the ones I heard coming from the teaparties, and if it had been real single payer on the table, I imagine their rage would've only been fiercer.
Who needs a police state when people are that brainwashed - protesting public healthcare. People rejecting their own well being. Come on now.

Yeah, I've been marvelling at that myself lately. You put it all extremely well.lightningBugout wrote: We've just witnessed a "popular" movement instigated by a media conglomerate in which people have taken to the streets and public meetings to basically ensure that the government won't give them health care. Someone, somewhere, is laughing their ass off.
And how do you top that? Do you instigate a mass-suicide, a la Jim Jones? I could honestly see Glenn Beck doing something like that, only he'd just pretend to take the koolaid.
Maybe that's their idea for the population reduction we keep hearing about. Just convince millions of stupid people to kill themselves.
If it's THAT crowd, I'd be okay with that.
