Nine-Mile Canyon, & Southern Utah - Rock art pics courtesy of Bclee at flickr

Early Native American petroglyph rock art in the canyon lands of southern Utah. Some of the Fremont style glyphs photos were taken in the Nine-Mile Canyon area. Anasazi, Fremont, and Ute rock art. You can notice at photos 32 and 33, the glyphs are desecrated with modern graffiti and or were broken. Also one of the morphs towards the end had a circle scratched around its head. A lot in the area also had many bullet holes as they must have been shot at the 19th century western days.
Horseshoe Canyon- Rock art pics courtesy of Bclee at flickr

Horseshoe Canyon (a remote western section of Canyonlands National Park, Utah) contains some of the most significant rock art found in North America. The sheer sandstone walls and cottonwood trees shade the canyon floor as you hike back into pre-history to view the various magnificent rock art locations. The Great Gallery is the most spectacular of the Horseshoe Canyon pictographs (painted figures) and petroglyphs (figures etched in rock by a sharp stone) found in the Canyonland region.

The large life-sized ghostly figures and supernatural images eerily gaze down over the ancient water-carved canyons and the intrepid travelers who come to view them. Many of the figures are armless and some, alien-like in appearance. Known to us as the Barrier Canyon style of painting, it is believed to date to the Late Archaic period, from 2000 BC to AD 500. During later periods, the Anasazi (ancestral Puebloan cultures) left their own style of rock art in the canyon as well.

If you look carefully, you will find evidence of fossilized impressions of the once great beasts that roamed the area 145 million years in the past. During the late Jurassic period, the large carnivorous three-toed Allosaurus had walked and hunted near the rim of the canyon. Now only the snakes, lizards, and raptors stand guard over this ancient landscape.
Horseshoe Canyon is a canyon alive with the secrets and the spirits of the ancient ones.

    • YOUTUBE NOTES. In this first episode, Iain explores the relationship
between the deep Earth and the development of human civilisation.
He visits an extraordinary crystal cave in Mexico, drops down a hole
in the Iranian desert, and crawls through seven-thousand-year-old
      tunnels in Israel.
Art will be the last bastion when all else fades away.

Mazars and Deutsche Bank could have ended this nightmare before it started.
They could still get him out of office.
But instead, they want mass death.
Don’t forget that.

I believe this evolved out of a short spoof trailer shot for and included with the original Grindhouse release of PLANET TERROR / DEATH PROOF by Rodriguez and Tarantino circa 2007.

Directed by
Robert Rodriguez (segment "Planet Terror") (fake trailer segment "Machete")

‘Machete’ Movie Trailer Touches on Politics

Based on one of the infamous spoof trailers attached to the Quentin Tarantino-Robert Rodriguez Grindhouse double feature, Machete brings to life the over-the-top action star played by Danny Trejo.

Ain’t It Cool News was paid a visit by Trejo and Rodriguez yesterday who brought with them a Machete trailer which they dubbed as the “illegal” trailer. Rodriguez reportedly convinced Fox to let him make this trailer in response to the political mess surrounding the immingration bill the state of Arizona is attempting to implement.

Funny enough, Machete was shot a year ago, before this Arizona mess and hits on some of these specific issues. I don’t want to talk politics, so we’ll focus on the wild entertainment that can be found in the following trailer.

- Rob Keyes

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0462322/news#ni2331338

The film was based on the fake trailer featured before Robert Rodriguez's double feature for Grindhouse (2007), Planet Terror (2007), which was co-produced by Quentin Tarantino and is also the producer on this film.

...

This film is being made because of the fake trailer's popularity after being featured in the theatrical version of Grindhouse (2007) along with the other fake trailers and advertisements featured in the film. "Thanksgiving" is the other popular fake trailer included in the film and was directed by Eli Roth and is now in development to be made into a full length film.
