Weird but it just occurred to me that this week, reserved for Columbus Day, is showing us behavior not unlike that, with people calling themselves "settlers" deliberately killing and mutilating and spitting on the very people from whom they stole their "settled" land, and water, and who freely call them "subhuman" and "dogs" and demand their eradication.

Kind of perversely appropriate.
