Did anything big--BIG--happen last Spring 2018, or last year? Did anything BIG happen this Spring?
Will anything BIG happen this Summer? This year, at all??
Will we get the empty, impotent satisfaction of witnessing a mind-blowing orgasmic cataclysm, or are we merely slouching towards bedlam?
This is the way the world ends

i hear you. Empty, impotent. Satisfactions. i hear you.
If you can't feel it, you're already dead. If you're dead, you can't feel it. If you feel it, you must speak of it. If you speak, you're alive. If you speak, must you be heard? If you can't be heard, why can't you be heard? If you're heard why aren't we listening?
I agree, sometimes we speak in silence. But not all can hear, even in speech. So can all hear in silence? i suppose not. Can all hear even in speech?

No need to go all orgasmic.
Please elaborate, in the spirit of the thread.

Last year Russia quietly won a war against the USA, all but unreported in MSM, in defence of a sovereign state, against the billions invested by US/UK/FR/ISRL/KSR. This included co-ordinated false flag attacks in Salisbury, England and in Douma, Syria (among others). Both attacks comprehensively failed to launch a strategic 'surge' against Syria, very likely designed to hatch during the early part of Hilary Clinton's presidency. The OPCW has also been outed as a puppet for western regimes (who's ostensible 'legitimacy' is the cornerstone of their argument for arbitrary regime change war) concealing and redacting unfavourable reports pointing to conclusions outside their remit, in other words, the truth. All of their prior pronouncements are now officially suspect.
This year a number of false flag attacks have so far failed to materialise a war against Iran, despite billions in Public relations and military positioning.
In Venezuela, despite a massive, world wide Public Relations campaign against him, Maduro held on and indeed strengthened his position while his USA appointed opponent Juan Guaidó has been exposed not only as a CIA groomed puppet, but also exposed as a common thief, having stolen all the money 'well meaning' tycoons such as Richard Branson very publicly procured for him.
In Brazil, Bolsonaro has been revealed to be at the helm of death squads targeting his opponents while the conviction of former president Lula has been shown to be a political show trial, the perpetrators currently enjoying high office in his government.
For thirty two weeks French men and women have protested against the neoliberalisation of their economy and social fabric despite a number of them being maimed and murdered on the streets of France by 'security' services. Both the US and UK, to their shame, quietly submitted to the rape of their souls, with hardly a whimper.
These and many other developments have been not only BIG but incredible. The wind is in our sails, what the fuck are we waiting for?

In other words, same as it ever was.
What are you waiting for?
Besides not really being a question, it's the wrong question.

You must be an exhibitionist, minime, given your penchant for masturbating in the open.
Harvey raised several recent developments that are counter to the 'same as it ever was' narrative; it's a testament to the complicity of establishment media that the outcomes of these events -- counter to Empire objectives, at least overtly -- aren't underscored/broadcast more widely (this latter M.O. is indeed 'the same as it ever was'), but we do have opportunity now to do something about it, if we collectively choose to do so.
The teens managing Gravel's campaign hint at the direction we can go to change establishment narratives.
[Cynicism tabled in an effort to inspire revolt]

The misfires here are not so much due to minime's roll at trollin' as in the vagueness of the question in the first place. But I do appreciate Harvey's perspective on recent events. Reminds us that BIG things happen all the time, but minds remain too small to see them.

trollin' but in the vagueness of the question in the first place. But I do appreciate Harvey's perspective on recent events.
I take a year off from a forum without any new members for two years, with almost no meaningful discussion in the rear-view mirror or on the horizon, with no current events broached in weeks, abandoned by the owner, its admins, and moderators, and almost all thoughtful collaborators... and ask a simple question, one already raised by someone else.
And this is trolling?
Or is this a forum with pretty much only 'trolls' remaining and active? ...and defending a loose narrative, but quibbling endlessly over names and dates, and minor, uninteresting details--when the names and dates and details are just that, while the processes that drive all of it remain woefully unreported and unchallenged.
Same as it ever was. After 14 years, I expected no different, but am only surprised that I'm surprised.
As robertpaulsen framed it, there may certainly be and there
are big events happening all the time, but BIG events, that's a whole 'nother matter.
