Quote:
"Eat depleted uranium-contaminated dirt, live a relatively long time, suffering far more than D.E., and then DIE!!!"

I'm sorry. I just don't think that's funny even in "Uncle Floyd" mode...in fact, it's even creepier in Uncle Floyd mode. Personally, I'm pretty tired of you telling people to die (or suffer or whatever) and then following up with the ole "aw shucks" it's all just good fun.

Maybe that's just me, but then again, this IS my birthday thread so I guess I can say what I want...

Like, I think you are a bitter, lonely, disappointed, jilted, sexually conflicted, borderline alcoholic.

Aw, I'm just kiddin'. Just pullin' out that ole walmart special, there Floyd, ole man. No harm done, that's what I sez.

A Man of His Word
Floyd, don't worry about "Team USA" in any of his/its guises.

I know the truth.
When you felt the pain of a fellow human being, you were right there with an offer of help.
Straight away.

YOU literally put your money where your mouth is.

Actions speak far far louder than words.
ESPECIALLY on a discussion board.

Thank you.

Re: A Man of His Word
First you question their dogmatic, knee-jerk, "I have all the answers in one neat package" assertions and ask them to provide some evidence, or at least a bit of logic.

Then they smear you.

Then you ask if it's possible to discuss ideas without getting personal.

Then they call you a disinformation agent and jump on you with all their equally deluded comrades in a snarky circle jerk.

And then you go away.

What happened to Floyd's "comment", if you can call it that?

confirmation
just to respond to original post by agreeing with some of the things which have emerged from this:- that ra/mc reveals itself through what the survivor knows eventually, rather than through finding a great system out there and tracing it back to the individual: that some aspects of mc are easier than might be thought - witness the idiots who mess with it with some success, not superhuman, super sleuth or extra terrestrial, but common, vicious criminals: that keeping one's head above water while helping someone is difficult at times, but that assumptions that the helper has flipped his/her lid because he/she believes some of what the survivor relates are illogical, are sometimes the chosen weapon of debunkers, but more often than not just well intentioned and slightly self protective meddling. sorry this comes a bit late in the thread, I am away from my normal place and not keeping up with my homework.
