HAW HAW! They care! And they're worried about what's happening to their country! And how it could be a disaster for their fellow, less fortunate citizens! The LOOZERS!!! HAW HAW!!!

Glad you're getting lulz out of this international tragedy, Mac. I guess someone should.

Thanks for those posts, Kate, and welcome [back].

(SLaD: no worries on that score. The sorrow outweighs the anger right now, and you didn't swing this election for anyone. Take good care of yourself and those close to you.)

Never mind the republicans, here come the Trumpists.
Trump doesn't represent a policy, but a style.
And the style is toxic.
There are many republicans who may even hold what dems consider repugnant policy ideals, but are stand up, moral people.
Can people imagine the Trumps harangues coming from the oval office?

I think the take away is that even in districts that Clinton won, she didn't win in large enough margins to carry states that had large rural voters.
So the liberal assholes that lived in democratic areas that couldn't quite bring themselves to vote for Clinton because she didn't talk Bernie enough have Trump now.
Also, CNN was just talking about Russia interfering in the election on one side. And that one side looks like it may win now in a huge surprising upset. That is a huge thing. It is even a huger thing that many progressives, liberal and conservatives don't care two shits about that.

This is so fucked.

The cable news networks are trying to carry on like grownups... while feeling the wet chill of their shit-filled diapers. The whole media atmosphere reminds me of 9/11 more than anything else.

Going to talk to some accerlationist friends tomorrow because that's never been a part of my praxis. Have to figure out what to do.

Jerky, I'm not getting "lulz" out of anything. And that kind of infantile trashword is gonna have to vanish quickly from everyone's vocabulary if anything is ever to improve.

In the national I.Q. test the electorate has just confirmed its dismal score.

The epitome of The Ugly American is being elected for the world to see.

Loud, arrogant, vain, bellicose, rude, crude, ignorant, cruel and immoral.

I’m embarrassed and stricken, fearful for the future and for humanity.

Corporate media, especially cable news channels, handed Trump billions in free publicity. They also contribute to racism Trump exploited.

@RaniaKhalek I don't think you can blame the media honestly. I blame a bunch of white folks who worry about a growing non-white minority.

Well, CNN would, wouldn't they? They'd blame it on aliens if they had to. But they don't have to (yet), so Castro Noriega Milosevic Saddam Gadhaffi Al Qaeda Putin will do just fine in the meantime.
