What you don't know can't hurt them.

Seems a fairly vanilla phrase to me, even when context has been stripped outJoe Hillshoist » Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:11 pm wrote:
Just out of interest what are people sposed to think when you put this string of words together?
They really contained the seeds of their own destruction, and thank God they went. Their style was a gift to their opposition.
I wanted to take you up on the bolded part here, because I'm not sure what 'you already know' is the one I've discussed, but the 'alternative', it is also the simpler one. (the one 'we all know')jakell » Fri Mar 04, 2016 11:40 am wrote:Joe Hillshoist » Fri Mar 04, 2016 11:09 am wrote:

Why is it the only view you put forward?
You've spent countless words trying to keep the focus of the discussion on WN tropes to the exclusion of all others. You give them no platform.
Actually, I've spent very few words on it, the rest have been to point back to those in the face of people trying to (inadvertently) complicate issues. There is an alternative WN trope that I have so far failed to mention.
Actually, you do sort of stand out because not many folks do the peer-moderation thing any more, they just break out the popcorn.82_28 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:31 pm wrote:Great. Now I'm being watched. Oh well. But if you say who you say from where you are from I at least have a 12 hour head start.jakell » Sat Mar 05, 2016 12:16 pm wrote:I reckon 82_28, like me, you are a great believer in peer-moderation. (been watching you).
The trick is to avoid going from this to this.
You won't get the second guy with me. I've become very practiced at staying cool

Like I said peer-moderation is underrated. I don't know about the old days on here, but having spent years on other forums I know about the storms and calms. You can relax around me though, I don't let folks get my goat too easily (self moderation is also underrated).82_28 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 1:07 pm wrote:I just do my part to keep things civil because I motherfucking remember the fucking old ass fucking days.
You're really reaching there, that isn't really a given in what I wrote.Joe Hillshoist » Sat Mar 05, 2016 1:17 pm wrote:
You talked about modern attempts to mainstream WN/BN, bemoaned the leaders around before those attempts, said you were glad they went, then you pointed out that what they were doing benefitted people who don't like racist violence or white, british nationalism. If you're gonna link those thinks in a paragraph instead of keeping them as separate ideas then don't get all defensive when people take you at your words.
What, that I regret the passing of the NF? That seems to be pretty much of a leap.Sounder » Sat Mar 05, 2016 2:22 pm wrote:Not a given?
The points that Joe is making sure don't seem to be a stretch though.
I should have put that in green. I was just going back to myself swearing all the time. I thought some would get it. But it was meant as sarcasm.82_28 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 5:07 am wrote:I just do my part to keep things civil because I motherfucking remember the fucking old ass fucking days.
Were you a hothead at one time then (forum wise)?82_28 » Sat Mar 05, 2016 4:31 pm wrote:I should have put that in green. I was just going back to myself swearing all the time.
