Follow up: came across footage with the national anthem recorded at the end of a TV show, and the subliminal messages are NOT there, as far as I can tell. Looks like a hoax. (anthem is around the 4 minute mark)

Good work BrandonD. That two-years prior one was uploaded by an account called "Naomi19631963", not far-off to consider them the hoaxers. "Buy Naomi" doesn't necessarily make a ton of sense as a subliminal message.
On that earlier version, which has a slightly better compression, it looks to me like the letters were copied and pasted from other parts of the video where they appear over relatively flat backgrounds. The desaturation and warm filter were probably put in place to hide some of the obvious errors.
That was a little exciting for a second there.
