I myself have found myself reading that sort of stuff simply for a fresh angle. It's the internet so one cannot become infected.

In terms of attacks on the board in the distant past, when the board was popular, these were in the form of ARGs who would sometimes post as Hasbara but just actually be in to mind-fuckery - like DreamsEnd.
My understanding from Barracuda (a long time and excellent Mod) , was there would be occasional very unpleasant racists and Hasbara who got whacked, but these tended to be ad-hoc, whereas for a while the ARG involvement was definitely not.

The thing is that white supremacism and xenophobia are not what is usually discussed, although when taken to it's conclusion, the conversation often ends up there. It's really this intermediate process that interests me more, about the turnings that get missed on the way. Also, their brains don't turn to jelly when terms like antisemitism are introduced, contrast that to a place like this.
I notice though that white supremacism and xenophobia were immediately identified here though.

Dennis Wise's film 'Adolf Hitler:The Greatest Story Never Told' has been getting loads of views and is certainly worth discussing.
Why? Several reasons... 1 It employs blatant mind-control techniques from the get-go, such as using what for many people is a deeply affecting instrumental of "Unchained Melody" (the video from clip from the movie 'Ghost' has >30 million views) anchored (a la NLP) to visuals of Hitler, particular with children or as an artist.
In my opinion, these anchors seem to be set up in quite a sophisticated way. He has also basically grafted a huge portion of the feature film about Hitlers early life, Hitler: The Rise of Evil http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0346293/?ref_=nm_flmg_act_27 into his own film so that it 'feels' like it is his own.
2 It blends factual, detailed researched pieces - such as the Soviets being behind massive extermination of the Polish intelligencia and the Katyn Forest massacre - and mixes these later on with execrable Holocaust denial pieces, treating The Leucter Report with respect, when it is a pile of well-debunked (see Nizkor) nonsense.
3 It is relevant to the present - showing considerable amounts of historical NAZI support in Ukraine at the time. The Azov battalion didn't just spontaneously arise.
I have seen NO counter to to this film from anyone and it sure as fuck could do with one, because while holier-than-thou "antifa activists" are busy writing 'critiques' and treating insinuendo and sneersmear as activist techniques, the film gets millions more views and many many converts.

I was sitting next to an older black man on the bus yesterday he had a little baby girl on his lap and we got to talking about not seeing "race". Vice versa. Some joker came to him and asked him if he was some sorta something or another and he said no, he was Muslim. I just laughed because it was totally stupid and made eye contact and asked "what the fuck was that about?". He asked what "race" I was and I just said, "yours". Blah blah blah. I finally relented and said I am "german/scottish" -- which I guess is right. But I don't fucking know. . .

Quick "race" story. I sure hope I haven't posted this before, or at least recently. My goddamn mind is failing.
Anyway, this was shortly after my adopted daughter had arrived from India. We were shopping at the grocery store and she was riding in the cart. Some dude came walking right up to me and asked, "Is that your daughter?"
I replied that yes, she was my daughter.
He then asked, "she adopted?"
Again, my answer was affirmative.
Final question: "Well, why didn't you adopt one of your own kind?"
For once, I was able to conjure a quick comeback: "Oh, you mean I should have adopted some bald, middle aged guy with a big nose?"
Dude went on his merry fucking way.

Neon, it reminds me of one time when I was in Chicago and there was some guy waving around a huge Texas flag and screaming at people. I went up to him and I asked what flag that was he had. I knew of course.
He was puzzled and said "TEXAS"!
My reply was "oh, the second biggest state" and that's all I said to him. He flipped out and started screaming at me and my friends that Texas was the biggest state. He did not like the fact that Alaska is bigger than Texas I guess or maybe didn't know. It came out of nowhere, wasn't planned, but it was priceless. We all laughed our asses off.

Considering the disturbingly large number of conspiracy websites/publications that take a sudden turn towards racist/anti-Semitic obsessions, I think it behooves us to ever be on guard for it in ourselves, here at this venue. I know of a few disturbing cases in my own life of conspiracy-curious people - alternative theory scholars, even - who apparently out of nowhere started insisting on the validity of the Protocols of Zion and singing the praises of some writers and thinkers that can fairly be described as monstrous.

I do agree about the problem of racist/anti-semitic nonsense but in all fairness I must add the case of someone I know with longstanding interests in conspiracy realms suddenly flipping towards racist/islamophobic ideas. That is no better. We don't need such bigotry at all.

Oh, sure, AD. I wouldn't argue that point.
I kind of tend to include Islamophobia as a form of racism, and separate out anti-Semitism as a "special case", particularly in reference to the world of conspiracy theorizing, where anti-Semitism inarguably looms so much larger than all the other anti-ism's, in sheer volume, if nothing else.
