US On The Brink Of Martial Law As Officials Implement Contact Tracing Methods To Track Rioters
By Spiro Skouras
As peaceful protests turn to violent riots, government officials finally admit the protests are being hijacked by organized groups from out of state with the purpose to cause destruction and chaos.
President Trump has ordered the Pentagon to have military police on standby ready to deploy to American cities within hours in an attempt to restore order. It’s the second time Trump has suggested deploying the US military domestically, which is thought to be unconstitutional. The White House cites the Insurrection Act as authorization.
Meanwhile, officials in Minnesota – the origin of the unrest – have stated they are currently using methods very similar to contact tracing to track down networks of out of state protesters, which officials estimate consists of approximately 80% of those engaged in the demonstrations.

I don't want to fight, but you're verging on word salad. I love it.
Alright, I'll stop obscuring the issues. By all means, resume your search for rationales, evidence and arguments on the internet. I didn't think I was encouraging inaction, although it might not be the worst idea, now that you mention it. Active inaction is always a strategic option, and an effective one sometimes, even.
Or what, embrace the inactive action of the internet. No, thanks, I'm good. You go 'head.
Which side am I on? I'm on the side of the angels, esoteric church. Thought I made that clear. Which side are you on?

Well, one thing I know is that I am not on the side of the US military (and/or highly militarized police) invading and occupying the United States. Maybe we should organize more marches against this insane occupation, just as we marched against the Iraq War? Just a thought.
"No War with US!"

Why don't you just say what you mean by "organized crime," if you mean anything.
And yeah, I'd be "not on the side of the US military (and/or highly militarized police) invading and occupying the United States."
Also:
"Maybe we should organize more marches against this insane occupation, just as we marched against the Iraq War?"
Indeed, and the people doing that are the same ones some would characterize as a staged color revolution run by the CIA-BLM network.

The map on that article was pretty funny, and a big tell. The US military is, of course, monitoring all protests in every state. So it's interesting how that article came to be.
Ken Klippenstein: "The military is monitoring protests in *six states* plus Minnesota, per Pentagon docs leaked to me."
He goes on to say: "If you’re military and sympathic to the protesters, text me securely via Signal at (202)510-1268. There’s a lot you can do to help"
The reason that The Nation Institute is so effective is how hard it is to tell if they're witting participants or useful idiots. Pierre Omidyar's crew over at The Intercept were never subtle about the fact they were basically a honeypot to out security leaks, but Ken might actually be naive enough to believe what he reported. Jeremy Scahill was always like that, too.
Here, the possibilities are endless. Maybe Ken was fed this directly by someone in CI, maybe someone was given access to this to see if they'd leak it, maybe Ken is actively involved with ID'ing leaks as this operation gets underway. But the disconnect between what the military is plainly doing (and always does) and the contents of that article is so striking that strongly implies one of those three.
In addition to Minnesota, where a Minneapolis police officer killed George Floyd, the military is tracking uprisings in New York, Ohio, Colorado, Arizona, Tennessee, and Kentucky, according to a Defense Department situation report.
Boy, good thing there's nothing going on in California, Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Oregon or Washington or...

Well, to be fair, those states are the allies of the US military.

The discovery by Democratic politicians of "privilege" rhetoric about secretly white supremacist infiltrators come to burn black businesses and disrupt "black-centered" protests is a really interesting new variation on "outside agitator" rhetoric. Please, everyone, stay progressive by keeping your protests racially pure!
A different Seattle informant wrote:Mayor Durkan just put out this statement to City of Seattle employees. This is a masterclass in gaslighting and the weaponization of identitarian divide-and-conquer politics. I want folks to see how carefully crafted this language is to avoid ANY accountability whatsoever from her own office and SPD while at the same time seeking to shame white “allies” who have nothing to do with whatever alleged property destruction happened yesterday in order to justify the utterly disproportionate crackdown and escalation arising from yesterday’s events — where police violence was aimed squarely at hundreds of peaceful protestors and children:
“...[white men] experience the height of privilege and are co-opting peaceful demonstrations that were organized by and meant to center people of color, particularly Black Americans... Remember that as a white person, your violent and destructive actions can directly endanger the people you’re purporting to support. True allyship in this testing time would mean supporting Black-owned businesses, helping communities of color affected disproportionately by COVID-19 and demanding transformative change at the national level... Now, more than ever, we need to lean into our anti-racist values and call upon the resources and practices embedded in our Race and Social Justice Initiative. The RSJI team at the Seattle Office for Civil Rights and our RSJI practitioners across the City can guide us in the fight against injustice and toward equity for all in Seattle.”
Let’s break it down:
“transformative change at the national level.”
This translates roughly to “take your silly demands for accountability and justice from SPD for #CharleenaLyles #CheTaylor #GiovannMcDade and countless others; for stopping the consent decree being lifted; for ending needless escalation of violence at protests; somewhere else — I can’t be bothered.”
“Now more than ever, we need to lean into our anti-racist values”
Well, you know, good leaders lead by example. How about if our elected mayor “leaned into” prosecuting killer cops for murder; defunding and demilitarizing this occupying force in our neighborhoods; allocating money away from its bloated budget towards desperately needed housing and social programs?
“The RSJI team at the Seattle Office for Civil Rights and our RSJI practitioners across the City can guide us in the fight against injustice and toward equity for all in Seattle.”
This is particularly rich. OCR is and has been chronically understaffed, underpaid, and asked to take on more and more and more work related to getting the City to practice its proclaimed values of Race and Social Justice. And the mayor has OCR and several other depts squarely in the crosshairs for cuts of 10% (likely more) that will be devastating for community members seeking their highly-demanded services that are supposed to be universally accessible to all. At the same time the mayor has told SPD, which takes up >50% of the City budget, that they will face only 5% cuts because they are “essential” during COVID.
We cannot rely on Mayor Durkan for any shred of accountability unless community groups, labor, city staff and the broader public exert immense united pressure behind community demands right now. We desperately need to take this political moment seriously and push as hard as we can. Otherwise, we will be mourning even more precious black, brown, native, AAPI lives moving forward.

Yes, it's been very interesting to see both partisan cheering squads try to parse the fact we live in a multi-racial, ideologically diverse, nation of millions -- many of whom moved from some other state within the past 12 months. Also hilarious.
The spectacle of celebrities simultaneously running bail-money fundraisers for protestors while claiming that white supremacists agitators make up 80-100% of the arrests ... is almost as sweet as watching Team Red blaming looting and fires on Antifa agitators only to find out it was Team Boogaloo dipshits who got ID'd by journalists, both citizen and professional.
Once 2020 is over, this really may wind up uniting us more than it divided us. Gonna be a long road, though.
Also, after several days of watching multiple screens of raw feeds at once, it's completely correct to say that "most of the protesters are peaceful." But at the same time, most of the people on camera ... aren't protesters. It's awkward all around.
Maybe the biggest takeaway here is "almost nobody is smart enough or coordinated enough for effective psyops, but everyone thinks they can do it."

Funny that nearly every city seems to start with burning police cars, but it's always seems to be a set up, using old police vehicles.
Clashes with police, vandalism and looting began on Sunday night following a peaceful rally in downtown Boston. A police cruiser was set on fire while several shops were looted.
legitimately stunned that CNN didn’t cut Cornel West’s mic. Maybe someone in the control room was just as enraptured as I am

Lots is funny and there are multiple tracks of conflicting disinfo being played simultaneously. Actually that's classic. I have no doubt that there is police or freelance provocateur action, obviously, alongside a lot of ridiculous bullshit rhetoric about how every act of "violence" (at least violence as defined by police or the corporate media) is the fault of white supremacist infiltrators or Susan Rice's RUSSIANSRUSSIANRUSSIANS!!!.
And online there are honest people making simultaneous true speeches about how
a. damn straight the residents want to riot they've had enough and riots are why even the one cop was indicted and only riots get concessions and they're targeting corporate boxes and new gentrification condos so it's okay, and
b. no no no one in the neighborhood wants a riot, that's all adventuresome idiots from far away, don't burn your homes.
There's truth on several sides of this mess, and lies on even more.
Losing track, where did I see the footage of a TV reporter being hit by pellet guns while LIVE on air? Was that upthread? Sorry, it's getting to be a lot going on. Another reporter lost sight in one eye after being hit with a police projectile. And we saw the video of people being bellowed at to get back inside and shot with projectiles by the National Guard because they came out on their own porch!
Nevertheless, tonight am sharing WRex's newfound cautious optimism about possible Unity by the end of 2020.

Which is good news.
I attended a demonstration in my midize provincial little city today. It was 100% "peaceful." Granted there was a whole lot of creepy "get out the vote" rhetoric too but the NAACP had pre-printed signs to that effect and clearly still owns the South in a big way.
Odd as it is to agree with Jack and Rex at the same time, I sort of do - I also feel optimistic about something here.
