Investigators made a clear identification of a suspect in the bombings with surveillance video, according to CBS News correspondent Bob Orr.
Orr said authorities have video of a man in a black jacket on a cell phone, wearing a gray hoodie and a white baseball cap backwards placing a black bag at the second bomb site outside of the Forum restaurant on Boylston Street and then leaving the area before that explosion
Investigators reported major progress in the Boston Marathon bombing case Wednesday, but said no arrest had been made, despite conflicting news accounts.
Two law enforcement sources told USA TODAY no arrest had been made, although the Associated Press, CNN and Fox Boston had reported in early afternoon that a suspect had been taken into custody.

I suppose it's possible they were referring to someone different unrelated to the bombing case.

The official who spoke to the AP did so on condition of anonymity and stood by the information even after it was disputed. The official, who was not authorized to divulge details of the investigation, had said the suspect was expected in federal court in Boston.

I was just having the same thought regarding the ricin mailing to Senator Roger Vickers. Every Congressperson who received post 9/11 anthrax mailings were Democrats. Now in the wake of the Boston Bombings, where because of the synchronicity of Tax Day, Patriots Day, we have a focus on the possibility of a McVeigh/Rudolph right-wing nut type, suddenly we get a ricin mailing to a conservative anti-abortion, anti-Obamacare, 100% voting record and proud NRA member Republican Senator? Smells a little false-flaggish to me.

Not necessarily. Think back to the Reichstag Fire with the original Nazis. The Nazis wanted it done, were looking for someone to pin it on, then Goering, I believe, happened upon a extraordinarily DUMB dumbfuck who happened to be a communist willing to play along. That's my understanding anyway after reading The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.

Also, regarding the pic about the two guys in 511 pants with combat boots, it was after the blast, they can be seen circled.
