This looks bad for Joe...
Smoking-gun email reveals how Hunter Biden introduced Ukrainian businessman to VP dad
October 14, 2020
Hunter Biden introduced his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top executive at a Ukrainian energy firm less than a year before the elder Biden pressured government officials in Ukraine into firing a prosecutor who was investigating the company, according to emails obtained by The Post.
The never-before-revealed meeting is mentioned in a message of appreciation that Vadym Pozharskyi, an adviser to the board of Burisma, allegedly sent Hunter Biden on April 17, 2015, about a year after Hunter joined the Burisma board at a reported salary of up to $50,000 a month.
“Dear Hunter, thank you for inviting me to DC and giving an opportunity to meet your father and spent [sic] some time together. It’s realty [sic] an honor and pleasure,” the email reads.
An earlier email from May 2014 also shows Pozharskyi, reportedly Burisma’s No. 3 exec, asking Hunter for “advice on how you could use your influence” on the company’s behalf.
The blockbuster correspondence — which flies in the face of Joe Biden’s claim that he’s “never spoken to my son about his overseas business dealings” — is contained in a massive trove of data recovered from a laptop computer.
I can't understand why anyone is taking the NY Post story seriously. Besides being the Post, the provenance of the PC that allegedly has this bombshell evidence is extremely suspect.

As an outsider I would go with 'morbid fascination'. It's not every day you get to see the fall of an empire.

Right now, at best one must assume a neutral position. It's telling, in the first instance, that the Biden camp has yet to outright deny the authenticity of the emails unearthed so far. Also: authenticity can be easily resolved by simply requesting native versions of the email messages, which can be analyzed to determine if they've been spoofed in any way. This remains TBD, but I've seen nothing to suspect at this point that they're not 'real'.
I imagine the days ahead will help clarify things, though I've no doubt the 'Russians' are NOT involved.
In the meantime, some bits of info from sources other than the NY Post or Fox News:
The video clip can be watched below; to say the video doesn't depict Biden in a flattering light is an understatement:
Who can defend this man, regardless of his so-called opponent?

Nobody is taking the NY Post story seriously except as an opportunity to resuscitate the rotting corpse of Russiagate. And this is more than a little scary because nobody has even tried to deny the fact that the emails are 100% real.

LOL. Twitter is soft-censoring the tweet above. I don't have a twitter account and the first time I clicked it, the message said "Your account to not allowed to view this." After I cut and pasted the link, I then got access.

It's well-past brazen, the egregious censorship activities of Twitter and FBook in attempting to manage Establishment Politics talking points.
Moving the goalposts, perpetually, while an entire demographic simply refuses to acknowledge it.
There's nothing Biden can do or be accused of right now that will inspire anyone voting for him to change their mind.
To callback [and paraphrase] a statement made by Trump 4 years ago, Biden can shoot someone in the street -- and likely miss, as he appears too frail to hold steady aim -- and not lose any votes.

Sioux Center, Iowa (CNN)Donald Trump boasted Saturday that support for his presidential campaign would not decline even if he shot someone in the middle of a crowded street.
"I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters," Trump said at a campaign rally here.
The polarized mindsets of those subscribing to either Party is essentially the same. They don't want to see/hear/speak anything other than their respective Party Line.

I have to say, after they ratfucked an all too compliant Bernie out of the primary I mainly checked out.
Biden has been surprisingly lucid and coherent, it's just that everyone has to actively suppress the knowledge that he is most certainly a harasser and molester of women and girls (he did it in public & in front of cameras after all) but also quite probably a rapist.
The liberal/milquetoast leftist contingent is very decidedly just weathering this out, probably figuring that whatever shit is going down, will go down under a Biden presidency (or a Harris regency) and for now they just can't deal. Quite extraordinary. I get the harm reduction angle, I get it more and more. But the intellectual dishonesty, hypocrisy and American exceptionalism are just becoming monstrously gigantic and more and more difficult to justify even in European liberal circles.

- Nope, sorry, hugs are too fringe.

I get what you're saying and I would dearly love to see Facebook and Twitter burned to the ground, but they're well within their rights to ban whatever they want for any reason (pretty sure Murdoch-controlled tabloids aren't a protected class. Yet). The alternative would be to force people to carry speech they disagree with or legislate specifically for companies like FB and Twitter. The NY Post doesn't have a right to use someone else's soap box.

Both parties suck, but one of them is demonstrably worse than the other. One supports corporate business as usual plus some token progressive causes and has the potential to transform into a decent party down the line, the other wants to turn the country into a fascist theocracy and actively denies reality. One needs reform, the other needs to go extinct.
