What a fascinating statement.

First of all,the anxiety is real and widespread (see article excerpt below) and I don't think that only liberals worry when the country they live in shows strong signs of collapsing into fascism.

What this poster is expressing is a kind of sadistic glee in seeing these anxious reactions.

The mask really is coming off isn't it? The fascists are showing themselves for who they really are. The 'we're all 'nice' civil americans' social glue is melting away. I guess we can thank Trump for that.
Oh good Lord. I thought it went without saying that the context within which I enjoy making lefties nervous is one of civility. Why did you read the worst possible intentions into my statement?

.

Is it possible she understands what Trump signifies and you do not?

Then again, maybe she's just trolling on you now. How does it feel?

I also don't think that Donald ever had any real chance at a popular or electoral victory, and if he had it would be stolen from him. He's only there to make the central right of the DNC's diet warmongering seem somewhat less insane.
But I wouldn't call it diet. Hillary and her Bush neocon policy advisors are very open how they want to take military action on Russia, Asad, and have an even more "muscular" foreign policy than Obama. Which to me is scary. Since more innocents died under Obama than even under war criminal Bush

More on Trump anxiety in this New York Times article.

For Many Women, Trump’s ‘Locker Room Talk’ Brings Memories of Abuse

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/11/us/po ... pe=article

Excerpt from the NYT article:
Laura Sabransky was one of many women who added to Ms. Oppenheimer’s thread, writing that she had been given date-rape drugs three times between high school and college. “I call Trump a walking trigger alert,” she said in an interview. “He is triggering anxiety and PTSD-like reactions in women, me included.”
Makes me wonder if the underlying impulse of much of male politics is similar to the twisted getting off on their 'power over' by abusing those considered beneath them (primarily women).

And this comes from both right and left. The right in more obvious straightforward ways and the leftists in their support of convoluted wedge issues and cowardly manipulation tactics like claiming to be feminist while cherishing and cultivating their contempt for women through things like habitual porn watching and refusal to try to understand women's real experience of sexism and rape culture and secretly being fine with subjugating and lording over women, but just doing it in a sneaky way.

I know you really want to tell me where to go but I ain't leaving so please quit giving me advice....I don't need or want your counsel....and I really don't like you putting words in my mouth so please stop lying about what I have posted or what I believe

SLAD, you come across as someone who was deeply hurt by a man, or men, in the past, and your lashing out at everyone around you here. We're not out to get you. We don't want to hurt you. I'm pretty sure most of us care about you. I do. I always have, and long before I realized you were female. You remind me a lot of my wife, who has a deep hatred of a certain type of white American male (she's also 100% Irish) and she has perfectly good reasons for hating them. I understand if you hate Trump. But men aren't all like Trump. Especially here. Even in "locker room" situations the vast majority of men don't talk the way he does. I'm just saying hate Trump if you want but not all men. We're not all like that. And you can relax here. We're friends.

Not sure if this is referring to my above post but in case it is I'll add a "not all men" disclaimer:

I know that, thank god, not all the men who post here fit my above description of sneaky leftists (although some no doubt do). I'm talking about general trends I'm observing in society

It seems to me that there's a desire to explain Donald's behavior away for the sake of 'social cohesion,' or whatever.

You know, 'Donald is just acting like a rich guy.' 'All guys in the locker room don't talk this way.'

Yeah, no shit. So?

We just want it to go away, for things to get back to the dysfunctional normal. As long as it isn't on the screen right in front of us, it's all good.

will people start paying attention to Trump's child rape charge now?

if not now when

there was a time here when it was all the rage to keep track of pedophiles
A pretrial date has been set for the Donald Trump child rape lawsuit

Defendant Trump initiated sexual contact with Plaintiff at four different parties. On the fourth and final sexual encounter with Defendant Trump, Defendant Trump tied Plaintiff to a bed, exposed himself to Plaintiff, and then proceeded to forcibly rape Plaintiff. During the course of this savage sexual attack, Plaintiff loudly pleaded with Defendant Trump to stop but with no effect. Defendant Trump responded to Plaintiff’s pleas by violently striking Plaintiff in the face with his open hand and screaming that he would do whatever he wanted.Immediately following this rape, Defendant Trump threatened Plaintiff that, were she ever to reveal any of the details of the sexual and physical abuse of her by Defendant Trump, Plaintiff and her family would be physically harmed if not killed.

but of course there is no difference

a pedophile/misogynist running for President of the United States.....

settle down SLaD....just settle down...please just settle down

none of this matters

Said to my friend, baby...
Nothin' else mattered

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dn8-4tjPxD8

"Well then suddenly...
There was no one... left standing
In the hall... yeah yeah...
In a flood of tears
That no one really ever heard fall at all
Oh I went searchin' for an answer...
Up the stairs... and down the hall
Not to find an answer...
Just to hear the call
Of a nightbird... singing...
Come away... come away."..

Nope. Bill Clinton was an even better friend and presumptive rape buddy of Epstein's, therefore neither side has an incentive to publicize it, so it won't find traction in the media.

So any attempt to link Bill being a possible rapist as relevant to his wife's Presidential bid is just misogyny in your view?
You were very definite that you would not let Laura Bush avoid her husband's high crimes if she ran, so I'm not sure what is different between the two circumstances.

I observed a long thread of women on social media last night talking about the need for self-care, mutual aid tips, and social media diets over the next month. This shit is real, exhausting, and harmful.

FB Let me be more specific. The idea that if Laura Bush were the GOP nominee you'd still think the crimes of George W. Bush should be irrelevant to her candidacy is absolute fucking horseshit.

and you replied:

Slad: well you are absolutely fucking wrong

got any proof?

you don't know me....
My understanding is you are saying that

If Laura Bush ran, that you would reject any connecting / relevance of Dubya's behavior as President , to her bid.

Have I got that right?
