Indeed. And all we have is their 'word'.
Okay...

We just don't know. The previous reports of his death could just as easily been chaff thrown by OBL to disguise his own getaway, no doubt a major concern for him would have been hiding from his own base. BHO had to get OBL off the table, even if they were sure of his death many years ago, it still would not have been possible for these people to tell that truth, so some believable fiction would have had to be created. This is a reasonable scenario, granted, plenty of room to doubt the story, but officially we all agree now on this one bit: OBL is dead. In this one miniscule detail at least, we've all been brought a little closer to sharing one real reality again.
a major question would be about what the deal was with the helicopter crash. No way was that a coincidence, possibly the US shot it down.

My understanding has always been that it is the standard side-story in every single one of these "Delta Squad To The Resue Slash Assassination" narratives that at least one helicopter has got to suffer a mechanical failure. Straight out of the playbook.

Wow. DailyKos, Huffpo, and virtually every single "liberal" blog or news site is in overload peacock puffery, framing it as a "Cheney and republicans are sore because Obama got Osama"
It's definitely official, the liberals in America have completely been amalgamated lock stock into the neocon mind trap. Obama now has the currency to do whatever the hell he's ordered to do.
Because anyone who dares question it, is a tea party idiot
Is there ANY liberal sites asking questions?

It's like they knew exactly how ridiculous it was going to sound to anyone using any common sense, and they want those people walking around claiming that this is another conspiracy so that they can be lumped in with all of those birther loonies who think we didn't go to the moon, etc, blah, blah, blah.
It's just another method of marginalizing those who haven't gotten with the Empire's program yet.
Absolutely. And so far there's no major outcry to demand proof...since proof demanders are racist birther right wingers now

I was surprised today when one not of our guild pointed out that this was 66 years to the day after the announcement of Hitler's death. He didn't seem to notice that 66 is twice 33. But why should he?
As for the buried at sea thing: If you're going to lie, challenge your audience to reject critical components of their world view if they're going to call you on it.

If following the postings on the Canadian Election has shown me anything, it's that there are people who have become - and I'm not exaggerating - actively hostile towards the truth.
The "truth" doesn't exist outside of what Dear Leader tells them. That *is* the truth. Period. End of story. There is no other truth. I wonder how deep it goes? Would they believe Dear Leader if he stole their lunchbag out of their hands but told them he didn't? I think they might. Or else, if someone were to say to them, "Hey, that guy just took your lunch, and you watched him!" They'd respond with horror that anyone could be so stupid as to not see Dear Leader's unquestionable authority in so-doing.
Really, it was that bad for some people on the Canadian message boards.

They have to follow, like the Kossacks have to follow Obama. They can't shatter their worldview. As Bill Hicks said, they have too much invested in the ride... if they get off, I suppose they fall apart.

I miss Bill Hicks like a supermodel misses ice cream.

may he not allow dead bad guys to rest in peace!

And here we go folks
Osama bin Laden raid yields trove of computer data
The assault force of Navy SEALs snatched a trove of computer drives and disks during their weekend raid on Osama bin Laden’s compound, yielding what a U.S. official called “the mother lode of intelligence.”
The special operations forces grabbed personal computers, thumb drives and electronic equipment during the lightning raid that killed bin Laden, officials told POLITICO
“They cleaned it out,” one official said. “Can you imagine what’s on Osama bin Laden’s hard drive?”
U.S. officials are about to find out. The material is being examined at a secret location in Afghanistan.
“Hundreds of people are going through it now,” an official said, adding that intelligence operatives back in Washington are very excited to find out what they have.
“It’s going to be great even if only 10 percent of it is actionable,” the official said.
Savoring the military and intelligence triumph, officials late Monday described new details about how the mission unfolded:
The SEALs took fire on their way to the compound’s third floor, where bin Laden had been sleeping, officials said. The encounter with bin Laden lasted only seconds, and ended with a kill shot to his face.

Or a complete fabrication.
That's what I was thinking.
And by the way, was it just me, or did you notice a lot of eye-rolling when the 'buried at sea' thing was raised today - and not from 'conspiracy types'?
I sadly havent seen it. On social networking, leftist sites, blogs, radio, tv everyone is in raw raw celebratory mode, everyone seems to be taking it at face value.
No photos, no video, no body..only "birther" racists need proof. No question now that the whole birther thing was set up and timed to explode for this very moment.

Indeed. Some of the fbook flag wavers are pulling their hair out and literally melting down because a few are challenging the OBL story and messing up the flag waving party. I engaged and wish I hadn't. I'm sure I alienated some people i've known for a long time.

The only people who aren't, it seems, are the real Obama-bots.
An accurate and personally anticdotable observation, imo. I was admonished with extreme prejudice for joining in on such questioning elsewhere. Battle lines are drawn and a united aggressive front was presented.
Just coming off the birther bullshit, I guess they are defensive, but i was a casualty. They're buying it hook, line, sinker.
Fuck the American liberals. I see little difference between the average materialism obsessed yuppy/college liberal twat and birther bushite dumbfucks other than the price of their latte.

Well, figuring I'm probably of that category, I think we are a savable sort. I'm more speaking about the Obama-bots. It seems true that no matter the party, there are 15% of that parties adherents that are freaks.
They were out, going to crow, and kick butt today. Obama's the man! Go team! But what was really irritating me most was that I really would like to join them in celebration. Believing what I do, it is impossible.

i'm seeing the most distrust from right wingers i know, hispanics, and others who aren't part of the smug college-educated and white npr-listening types. people who think for themselves regardless of their status or educational level. anecdotal, i know.
oh, and after writing to rawstory and asking them why they were acting like any other corporat news site, not even questioning what they're fed, not even, say using words like "allegedly", they responded by banning me from making comments there!
nice.
