"Peak Oil" isn't a new idea. I learned about it back in 1979.

There's a curve that occurs in the production of any finite natural resource. Doesn't matter what it is.

Oil is no exception, whether it's biotic or abiotic.

Unless the earth is somehow manufacturing it faster than we're using it, which is sorta doubtful to say the least, there's gonna be that same old curve where demand eventually outstrips supply.

..the same can be said of water, no?

Where's the PEAK WATER alarmists?

Perhaps because bodies of water can be readily observed, whereas bodies of oil reservoirs cannot [unless there's a spill or breach of some sort, of course, revealing the rather abundant supply of oil below the sea floors..]

BS, I don't know why you want to parade your ignorance as though it were a virtue. Or should say virility?

Actually, I'd say 'peak water' is a more more relevant and real concern than 'peak oil'.

..I didn't realize my virility projected itself so clearly in my posts - thanks for noticing, JR.. :D

I meant in this forum, beeline -- however, my half-assed rhetorical question was quite in jest; perhaps next time I'll refrain from posting when semi-inebriated from watching World Cup play.

appreciate the links, regardless..
