Ian, the fairly beefy guy dressed all in dark clothes - including fairly tight dark jeans - is the one circled and thus identified as "Sébastien" by the NYT. He is clearly not the same person as the thin-armed, long-haired, lightly-dressed woman (surely?) in a pale-checked something-or-other who reaches down to the "pregnant woman" after the cut.

@ 00:45 in the NYT video it circles them both (the two hanging above the woman the media says is pregnant)

regardless, the person that helps the pregnant woman up really does appear to be wearing a skirt.
what appeared to me to be the sleeves of a shirt tied around i now am starting to think is a pleat on a skirt.
it is only when the person is first getting back into the window at an angle that you can really see the front of their body for a second.
the quality of the video is not great and by then the digital zoom is zoomed in enough to add to the pixelation.

i guess i am somewhat reluctant to assign a gender because i am aware of the other "gender" thread currently underway here on RI.

the story certainly has a "let's roll" feel to it, i agree with that.

I thought it was anything but amazing. I thought it was inevitable, and I was right. Spook propaganda has to reach its intended audience, after all. which certainly doesn't exclude the readers of the "quality press" , especially The Newspaper of Record.

The Tale of Sébastien and the Pregnant Woman is now everywhere, precisely as intended. I bet you a million dollars it will very soon appear on Wikipedia.

Yeah, everything of any real importance (e.g. for identification purposes) either happens off-screen or is blurred -- not just in this one but in all of the videos I've seen so far.

The audiotrack of the "pregnant woman" shouting ("Au secours! Je suis enceinte!" - Help, I'm pregnant, etc.) also sounds to me as if it has been at least enhanced if not edited-in. It would be good if Nordic could help us here.

maybe because solace has NEVER made one joke around here....he has always been quite serious..to put it mildly

In this video it is clear that there were 2 men on the ledge (you can see the extra legs starting at about 1:27) and one who some see as a woman but is a guy with his coat wrapped around his waist can be seen climbing back in the window and pulling her up. You can CLEARLY see him climbing back in to then reach over and grab her at about 1:54.

We're talking about a mass casualty event, tracing the motivations of actors who extinguished human lives, seeking connections to military, religious and private sector actors who have been responsible for exponentially more death, and more than that, we're an asylum for functional paranoids.

And my personal reading of Solace's joke was a jab at Mac for being paranoid, not a threat, sarcastic, deliberate or otherwise.
