He is a nice guy who believes in social justice and helps out with using his places to help Democrats get elected.

Kushner is Trump's son-in-law.

Rachel Maddow is right up with Anderson Cooper and the New York Times as failed mendacious journalism.

Wombat's comment about Banning being a boogeyman us spot on. I have Jewish friends who actually think he is the new Eichmann. There is still a state of hysteria in the US.

If you read Breitbart and don't find it fascistic and you don't find frightening that it's former head will soon be steering the US government, then we have very, very different ways of seeing reality....and that's okay, actually it can sometimes make for a lively discussion.

I don't like fascist rule. You don't live in the US do you? Well things are going south fast. Last night I had to call 911 in the middle of the night because a man was chasing a woman down my street*. She was yelling 'Stop. Don't touch me " etc, so loud it woke me up. I looked out and they were running fast, he was chasing her and (thank god) she was yelling very loud. I hope I wasn't the only one to call the police, and they did come (too late), but my point is that the kind of climate that forms when people in government espouse hateful and misogynistic views can be quite dangerous for women, minorities, non-rich people, the list goes on. The bullies who hate feel emboldened and the result is not abstract.


*BTW this is not a 'high crime' neighborhood

I too, experienced that I saw one comment and no others would appear even after refreshing several times.
Also experienced this before on provocative vids. It's like a sort of 'SHADOW BANNING ' quite, baudrillardian.

I waded into breitbart last week for the first time and was "shocked and amazed" -- not. It's nasty and compared to like Rawstory almost every "story" has upwards of thousands of comments. In the early 2000s my very left wing friend would send me a link from there and I would read it. I am naive. I think back then, from what I remember, it wasn't thought of as a hive of racist, fascist sacks of shit. There were a few interesting links if I remember right. I never went there other than following links but it wasn't until trump that I found out it was a fascist outfit.

Using public knowledge (New York Times, etc.) , George Webb follows the money, arms, and oil in an attempt to discover what happened to the missing former Clinton Foundation CEO "Whistleblower", Eric Braverman, not to mention, Chris Stevens, Neil Brown (Eric Braverman's husband) and Mark Turi who are missing or dead, to prove the Clinton foundation is a mercenary organization, a Regime Change Investor Club that dates back to the pardon of Mark Rich (Clinton worked this pardon through John Podesta life long friend Peter Kadzik) . Eventually he adds "kids": "follow the money, arms, oil, kids?"

Braverman, according to John Podesta (WL email) was supposedly the anonymous source that told NBC to "follow the money and find the real HRC scandal." Braverman resigned right after this email.

Bit off topic, but I'm posting this here because I think it relates to how highly respected and powerful figures in Washington can tolerate, condone and, even (literally) pardon a pedophile. This week, Washington's NPR station is airing talk show host Diane Rehm's 'favorite' interviews from her 40 year career span (she retired this week). I find it kinda shocking that today's favorite choice was an interview with convicted pedophile Peter Yarrow, from Peter, Paul & Mary, about the group's music career. (fwiw, Rehm's been very vocal about the "dangers in fake news" and has also defended Comet Ping Pong on air.)

A 14-year-old girl and her 17-year-old sister went to Yarrow’s hotel room in Washington, DC, in 1970 seeking an autograph, it was reported at the time. Yarrow, then about 32, answered the door naked. Yarrow served three months of a one- to three-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to taking “indecent liberties’’ with the girl. In 1981, the singer was pardoned by then-President Jimmy Carter on his last day in office.

Why did a president pardon a pedophile? Was it because Yarrow was married at the time to the niece of the late Democratic Sen. Eugene McCarthy?

Yarrow has repeatedly made excuses for his behavior. “You feel terrible about it, make your amends,’’ he told the Baltimore Jewish Times in 2006. “In that time, it was common practice, unfortunately — the whole groupie thing.’’
