To my surprise I found the full movie on youtube. Noroi: The Curse. One of my favorites in recent years. It's best if you watch it without knowing anything, so don't look it up!

I have a feeling these questions about nostalgic public safety may have been answered differently if more people of color had been asked. The first black man to appear at 8:30 discusses killing wild birds to eat. I don't think the underlying thesis is accurate for any but middle class and above whites.
